Having gotten the feeling that they know what to look for, Sygg and his companions follow the moss-alike feature on the symbola reaching to the wall fold. This moss doesn't appear to absorb light only, but also energy.
I'll take the freedom to make a roll for you, Gamma-Mage, for the sake of quickness
At examining it closely, Sygg realizes that different types of moss have grown around each symbolon... and that the fold itself has combined the two coming from the closest symbolon at its sides into one that maybe reacts differently than the originals.
[OOC] Gamma-Mage, I just noticed that your character is listed as "Sigg" in our campaign site at Obsidian. Should I correct this?

"I wonder if this is all an arcane device, or if the elemental spirits are indeed inside this..."
She follows the moss-trail with mouth and eyes wide open, and her nose at about a palm from the walls. The color gradient on her fins changes slightly while she does this, although it's not clear to what hues of purple or red exactly. Plus, the Pyromancer, for one, is not exactly looking at her fins while she bends in such fashion...
"So now it makes sense... The elements unite at the folds... So we have Earth with Fire, Fire with Water, Water with Earth... Something like... Lava, Steam, Mud..?" [OOC: Master, correct this if I'm wrong, I think you cited them being "Earth, Fire, and Water around you", so I guess the combinations should be these.]
Fire with water... That's fairly easy to do! -"Ehm... Excuse me, mage... I think we could use your fire magic here!"
Cylonea positions a glass bottle where she used to have a concoction, filled with water, right at the fold between Fire and Water, securing it in an oblique position with other exotic glass-made alchemical equipment so that the opening is directed toward the moss-filled fold.
Without further ado, the pyromancer waves at the others so that they get out of the way and starts top cast Burning Ha- "STOP!!! Wait!! You might burn the moss too much if you cast a strong spell! Wait..." - Cylonea closes the bottle with a strange fish-head-shaped glass device made to be secured to the bottle and with a very small aperture at the top, where the fish's mouth is sculpted.
"Now try to focus the heat at the bottom of the bottle... "
After a half-surprised laugh, the pyromancer nods and puts some bits of coal under the inclined bottle, using then Psionic Spark repeatedly to quickly and vividly ignite them. After a little while, a thin wisp of steam starts to come out of the "fish's mouth", directly towards the moss...

OOC: No, it's supposed to be Sigg. I got confused because I now own a magic card named Sygg.
OOC: Quite cool too, I see! I noticed it has an "evil" Shadowmoor version (rogue) and a "good" Lorwin one (wizard)... Wouldn't it be a cool way to play two characters, have one change completely when he/she goes to the Shadowfell or when night comes?

The ideas was good… very good indeed. Cylonea and Sigg watched particularly attentive to the energy reaction in the moss at the fold of the wall… and felt increasingly anxious when nothing changed.
One sigh after, the moss started to shine a little, increasing its brightness with each passing second until it produced the light of several torches together. One blink after, it snuffed out, leaving darkness again except for the one provided by pyromancer.
And there, where a few moments ago there were walls of stone, a lonely corridor appeared to them. Dark and dry, air flushed into the area they were like it was being held a few moment ago and suddenly left free.
The walls of this corridor seemed irregular. Light and examination determined that they were carved letting several little pyramids on the surface in an irregular pattern difficult to discern. As far as they could tell, the corridor was very long the end of it hidden in the dark away from them.

[OOC] I hope to understand from the Perception roll if the walls actually slided or if some non-mechanical process was at work in the opening of the corridor.

"... Heh! *tsk* " The pyromancer's magically illuminated face suddenly displays a knowing grin...
[OOC] To spice things up and in accordance with the pyromancer's very sure and quite boastful personality, he's going to believe he's actually remembered something useful about all of this, even if he hasn't! :D

As everything else in any zendikarian ruin, magic seemed to have activated an inner mechanism to expand again the space inside.
Cylonea looked attentively to the little pyramids, trying to deduce a pattern from the randomness they showed. If anything, they looked like precisely put, like they indicated something... A map, maybe? There were several spaces among them, forming some groups. A text? Cylonea recalled some ancient books written in groups of dots... If they were, it would be interesting to know hat it said there, so she started drawing lines uniting dots in her mind as they walked in the corridor.
Pyro, distracting her a little, started to say something about constellations... Yes, he said, the pyramids could represent stars in the heavens above, and this wall would be some kinda representation of a celestial map. Why someone would have a celestial map carved in stone with pyramids was another question entirely, one he didn't want to address.
Sigg followed his friends slowly at first, smelling the air. It was fresh, what was weird since this area looked like it was closed for some time befor they came, but he didn't recognize anything dangerous in it, so he came along.
[OOC] By this, everyone, lose a healing surge, please.
Almost an hour after that, they all started to faint. The air was fresh, indeed, but hot and getting hotter, almost steamy. Breathing heavy, they all started to feel tired. By the end of the corridor, they reached a gate beyond which a garden extended in all directions below. Green everywhere surrounded little color motes, as flower bushels grouped together in some places. Where the air or water came from to keep an environment like this, wasn't obvious at all just by looking around. Cylonea stopped her comrades. The text she had in her mind announced "Feed us and wake us not in foolish way or certainly you all fools shall pay"
[OOC] When you want to get down to the garden (mini-jungle, I would say instead), you'll neeed some Athletics check. The heigh from where you are is around 10 squares so 2 checks would do it.
