I don't think there's and ISO for RPGs, so I think we should establish some criteria for playing, such as:
- Posts per day: We should establish a minimum of posts per day (don't know if a maximum should be chosen, too)
- In the case we establish a day in 24 hours... when will it start and end? LordArchaon is, I think, at UTC+1, but I am at UTC-5... should we use EST?
- Gaming days: Will we require that everyone post at least once everyday, including weekends? I don't know you, but here in south hemisphere summer is beginning. Though I'll be able to remain in touch from my mobile via e-mail even at the beach-house, Wizards forums are another thing entirely.
- What happens when someone doesn't post? Who decides what does his character do? DM or players?
- Die rollers: Who rolls what? I prefer that each one makes their own, as tabletop.
I can't think of anything else by now, but if I do, I'll post it.

By the way, it would be nice to have a start date... since I guess I have to throw the first stone, I propose January 3rd, monday. It would be a nice way to premiere the 2011.

I'm cool with January 3rd! As for standards, I didn't reply because I wanted to see the others tell us what they thought first. Anything goes for me, more or less. Through facebook, we can organize (issue/cancel) gaming days week by week for example. As for dice rollers, I had posted about a website they use at the PbP featured group. I can't find my post now though. However, I think it was described as a "each player rolls his own" system, so I guess we'll have no problem. The problem now is finding the other players! That cousin of mine that I had been mentioning is not convinced by PbP and is delaying, so I wouldn't count on him. Nyronus (I think) wanted to be a player but hasn't showed up in the last week or more. My recent 6-7 invites have been seemingly ignored... I guess we'll have to be 3 or maximum 4 players! It's ok to me though, since we have two permanent companions (Cylonea's Spirit/Elemental Companion and Sigg Starleaf's Wolf) and we have plenty of cures and defender-like features, other than good controlling. Strikers are not that important IMO, and Sigg Starleaf can deal lots of damage when he uses combined attack with the Wolf. Well, enough with party-optimizing, the message here is just "come on people, we know you want to play a fantastic Zendikar character, get in!"

I agree with organizing gaming days week by week through the FB group. I don't know about everyday for me, but every other day or every 3 might work. Roll your own dice works for me, honor system; we all want to have fun, not "win" right? haha.
Start day Jan. 3, 2011 works for me. I am excited!
On the issue of when someone doesn't respond: What if everyone designates a default action for their character in certain situations. Then that is what they do if they are unable to respond.
Example: In travel mode, Hoist scouts the road ahead, watching for danger or ambush, and seeks the best path for the party.
In exploration mode, Hoist keeps his mind on the party's back, looking for monsters or threats.
In combat, Hoist seeks to shut down the leader or controller in the opposing group, with a secondary target of any lurkers or strikers.
If I was not able to respond, this would give the DM (Veritatis) some idea of my actions. I could be more specific with action names, but does that make sense?
My suggestions, what do you think?
Inconsistency and procrastination...in practice.

Hi, all... We're just facing our first encounter, so I was thinking about how to better handle it. First, LordArchaon has provided me with this "virtual playmat". When in combat, we'll be able to define our character's position in common coordinates. I'll set the starting ones for everyone, and then, each one of you can move stating it like "from A1 to E3, 4-sq move action", or "from B2 to C2, 1-sq shift as [power] effect". Something like that. I'd preciate if we establish our positions in every post, as of "starting" and "ending" position, just for the sake of easeness (is that even a word?). And second, post freely for the round until I post resolving all actions in initiative order. Feel free to recommend some actions, as if we were on the table (in some way, we are, after all). While in combat, my post will indicate the end of the round and beginning of next.
