Notes:

- "Warriors" are like the new Slayer Fighter or Barbarians: direct-approach, mostly martial strikers.
- "Soldiers" are the classic defenders, mostly like the Fighter.
- "Shamans" include a lot of mystical characters, many possible power sources.
- "Knights" almost always have a mount and apart from that are very similar to D&D's Paladins.

Wow, that would be helpful... but for some reason it doesn't work, at least for me. I have all 3 Zendikar Player's Guides from the Fat Pack, so I'll start using them... maybe scan and share the Card Encyclopedia later in the week, taking advantage of tomorrow's holiday.

Whoa, scary-strange... My cousin and would-be-player (not sure though) also told me the link didn't work through facebook, but that it worked when clicked from here. Now you say it doesn't work from here...

For the poeple who have problems with the links, if you don't want to perform an advanced search setting the parameteres yourself, at magiccards.info/search.html putting the "class" name in the "rules text" or "types" field and then selecting the Zendikar sets from the bottom, you can also go to the website home page at magiccards.info/ and copy-paste this query in the query field:

ct:cleric (e:roe/en or e:wwk/en or e:zen/en)

of course putting the desired "class" name instead of cleric. If this doesn't work, contact that website's admin

Updating the main post with nifty 3-columned display of full scans of the cards, making it the ultimate reference in Zendikarian character inspiration!

I just can't believe you... You forgot the most incredible Artificer I have seen by Wayne Reynolds... I know in the game it's a shaman, but... hello!!! Don't even bother apologizing, I won't forgive you :P

Crap... I just found out it's a Worldwake card... Shouldn't we include them too?

(OK, I forgive you)

Hahah! Well, I had specified that "shamans" include all kind of mystical characters of any power source, and Cunning Sparkmage is right there among the Shamans...
There can't be a missed character from these card types, it's all a copy-paste from magiccards.info search engine, and it includes Zendikar, Worldwake and Rise Of The Eldrazi.
There can be cards that do not belong to these types while still being of inspiration though, and those are the ones you can help me out finding, Veritatis!
