I just finished posting about the recent errata and realized an implication for authors. A big change that is hard to notice and check for is the clarification on the guidance for how high a level a monster in an encounter is appropriate (changing the wording from 4 to 3 in the later part of "Monsters in a standard encounter might range from three levels below the characters to about three levels above them."). The LFR writer's guidelines have a recommended "Individual enemies within an encounter can go up to 4 levels higher or lower than the average." I think this is ok, but it should be something that authors consider when writing new adventures. If you use the upper level range for a particular tier, be aware that this may be toeing the line and that the monster's capabilities (defenses, etc.) may be higher than what will produce good results.
