No sooner had I graduated college, than I was hired to be a fiction editor by the makers of my favorite obsession since I was a little girl, Wizards of the Coast. And in my very first week, I was asked in all seriousness about whether dark elf males had nipples. It was then that I knew: having just turned 21, I already had my dream job. How thrilling is that? I was done! Life complete. Victory achieved.
But after six fantasy-filled years of working with the best authors an editor could wish for, and the most creative minds the illithids haven’t gotten to yet, I feel the need to stretch my wings and see where the wind will take me. Amazon offered me a fantastic opportunity to do just that, and, like any true Wizard, I can’t turn down the call to adventure.
Today is my last day at Wizards, but I will always think of Wizards of the Coast and all of those who work on the great games and books at Wizards fondly. Please keep in touch! My twitter is @susanjmorris, and I’m starting a website at www.seriouspixie.com that will go live in October.
In addition, I am pleased to announce that Erik Scott de Bie will be the lead WotC Novels Book Club Forum Moderator. As an author of both novel and RPG products, as well as being a fan, Erik is the best possible choice for this role.
Best Wishes
