[value] => I'm a big David Weber fan, so I'm keeping up on the Honor Harrington and Armageddon Reef series. I've read the Lord of the Rings at least ten times. When I first really discovered SF and started to devour it, I was 11 years old, and my local library had a sci-fi spinner rack that was 20 years out of date. My first formative reading was Golden Age SF -- Doc Smith's Lensman books (which I still love), Robert Heinlein's juvenile SF, Ray Bradbury, A. Merritt, and all that great old stuff. It screwed me up for life!
