House Tharashk has stationed a garrison in the growing town of Vralkek, on the southern coast of Droaam. In a land of monsters, “civilized” Brelish immigrants try to make a home. This is the story of those who serve to protect them.
Legacy of Khelb is the name of the D&D campaign I started in 2006, mastering it for two different groups of players. I started it under 3.5 and transfered to 4th and then stopped. Looking now at D&D Next...
The campaign is set in the the Silver Marches of Forgotten Realms. The campaign theme is loosely based on a suite of adventures published by Wizards of the Coast: "Barrow of the Forgotten King", "The Sinister Spire", "Fortress of the Yuan-Ti". The campaign arc starts with the events featured in the Barrow of the Forgotten King, and the adventurers stumbling upon a powerful magic sword named [[Mirthuvial]] which will become the beacon that will lead them through the campaign. They will reach Pedestal, the city featured in the Sinister Spire, early in their paragon journey, after having journeyed through the underdark, and will be facing paragon-level challenges all across Faerun leading them up to the fortress of Yuan Ti, and on to their epic journey. They will then meet heads-on with world chattering events leading up to the climactic end of the campaign, where the balance of the world and everything they know is at stake, and where only they, empowered by the magic they have unleashed, will be able to save the Forgotten Realms from a terrible and sinister fate. Check the group's WIKI page for more information, including summary of the stories so far. I will keep the blog for general DM Notes about the campaign and my views of DMing in general.
My name is Oso de la Fez.
It's been a lifelong dream to be freed from the shackles of the circus and become a real bear. A real bear who is part of an adventuring group, of course. When I was performing as part of the burlesque troop I overheard lots of chatter about this rogue's latest quest or that ranger's found treasure. Oh, how I wanted to be a part of that! Thanks to my best friend, Tabitha and her buddy Teemu, my dream was realized. They busted me out!
And then I realized I had a second dream. (A bear can never have too many.) I wanted to be a familiar. How lucky can one bear be? That dream was realized too! (Thanks, Tabby. And my apologies for anything I might say or do to you and your friends in the future.)
I know there are more familiars-to-be out there that share my love of adventuring. If so, join this group! And tell your PC's to join too. It's a familiar safe haven.
