Another interesting aspect of Blackmoor is its connections to other D&D settings. Gary Gygax included Blackmoor as a barony in Greyhawk. The setting that to the greatest degree worked to incorporate Blackmoor is Mystara. When David L Ricthie was asked to write the DA-series of modules for the BECMI/ Classic D&D line, Ritchie incorporated Blackmoor as a realm from Mystara's past.
