Midnight and Winter

This campaign is set in the Shadowfell and uses the game supplement, The Shadowfell - Gloomwrought and Beyond.

The campaign follows the Deva-Vampire, Camulus (played by Scott) and the Werewolf-Troll, Death Cleric Xanthus (played by Manny) who have both ended up in Gloomwrought unintentionally, where dark fates have mysteriously woven their paths together. The two became quick allies after being brought together to retrieve a lost artifact for a mysterious house lord in Gloomwrought. Xanthas and Camulus have remained allies since their first adventure together.

Xanthas

(Troll-Werewolf, Death Cleric)
A former tribal Cleric to his clan in the Mortal World (the world of Superna), Xanthas ended up in the Shadowfell during the middle of a squabble against a pack of werewolves, after he fell in to a black ravine that turned out to be a Shadow Crossing. The werewolves were his tribe's enemy and after his fight with them, he was infected with the lycanthrope disease. Becoming a werewolf was blasphemy to the tribe as he had essentially been turned into one his former tribe's enemy. He took the events that lead him to the Shadowfell as a sign that the Raven Queen desired a new path for him. He ended up in Gloomwrought after being sold as a gladiatorial slave and released after winning the combat he was forced in to.

Camulus

(Deva, Vampire)
Camulus is unsure how he ended up in Gloomwrought, and he doesn't remember how exactly he became a vampire. Much of his past is shrouded from him; uncomfortably more so than is normal for a Deva. It is obvious that something dark and treacherous has occurred in his past and he is on the brink of turning into a foul creature, known as a Rakshasa. His current mission is to find the person who turned him into a vampire and to unveil the sinister mysteries of his past.

The two were joined together when an unknown noble in Gloomwrought hired them to procure a magical artifact for him, in exchange for his protection and alliance in the City of Midnight.
