Each episode of the Iomandra and the Dragon Sea Wednesday campaign constitutes one or more sessions of play. The epic-tier chronicles of the Wednesday night group are summarized below. For more information about the Wednesday campaign, see the Wednesday campaign main page.

Episode W-202: The Vessel

Campaign Date: 1 Tamara 1475

After welcoming thirteen new ship captains into his fleet, Deimos (a.k.a. Sea King Impstinger) rejoins his companions at Anchordown. Meanwhile, Vargas transforms his eye of vengeance into an eye of justice, forever denying the pirate warlord Vantajar his prize. Nyrrska confides in Vargas his intention to assassinate the dragonborn wizard, Leytra — a known Myrthon sympathizer. Vargas shares this information with Deimos, who convinces Nyrrska that Leytra isn't worth the hassle. As Leytra's crew busily modifies the Impstinger flagship, the heroes meet with Zirko Axaran, a dwarf believed to hail from another world. Zirko, or "Lord Blackmoor" as he prefers to be called, is able to translate the diary of Lady Thariel von Zarkyn, which the heroes have been carrying around since before they left Irindol. The diary discusses the Vecnites' plans for Irindol, as well as several other bits of interesting lore tied to the God of Secrets. After convincing Zirko to accompany them on their mission to retrieve the fabled cutlass Fathomreaver from the Elemental Chaos, the heroes decide to confer with Black Maliq's eladrin seer, Starra. Rhasgar seeks information about the fate of the Emperor, Kael wants to know his future, and Deimos craves knowledge about the sphinx statuette entrusted to the heroes and sought by Starlord Evendor (see Episode W-140: "Thimizere's Tower"). Unaware that Starra is being impersonated by the rakshasa Chan, Fleet presents her with the sphinx statuette. Chan takes it and vanishes. The heroes track the rakshasa to an illithid cuttleship hiding in the deep waters below Anchordown and return to the Morrow to launch an attack. As the Morrow leaves dock and prepares to submerge, one of the heroes betrays his companions. Xanthum tricks Kael into stowing the two Khara Malia refugees (the devas Sayadar and Elarahal) in an extradimensional space, then leaps into the space after silently commanding his Far Realm mine (see Episode W-196: "Sunshine with a Chance of Rain") to attach itself to the Morrow's hull. The ship explodes, killing everyone aboard ... or nearly everyone. Nyrrska alone survives. Xanthum and the Khara Malia escape from their extradimensional space and are safely borne to the illithid cuttleship. The Khara Malia are spirited away as Xanthum takes command and orders the mind flayers to attack the remaining Impstinger fleet, then Anchordown itself. Captain Abraxas of the Dragovar warship Maal-Destir takes command of the fleet and lures the cuttleship away from the raft-town. The fleet takes a pounding but ultimately destroys the enemy vessel, and Xanthum goes down with the ship.

Notes: After being abducted by mind flayers in Episode W-192: "The Ravenous," Xanthum (Curt Gould) had a fragment of a Far Realm entity called Allabar implanted in his brain. Allabar is a powerful starspawn introduced in Monster Manual 3, and he figures prominently in Starlord Evendor's plans to release evil godlike entities from their starry prisons. Deimos (Chris Youngs), Alagon (Andrew Finch), Fleet (Nacime Khemis), Rhasgar (Trevor Kidd), Garrot (Mat Smith), Kael (Chris Champagne), and Vargas (Rodney Thompson) are killed aboard Morrow, along with the ship's regular crew and some important NPC passengers, most notably the two Wyrmworn survivors Tymon Ghalt and Cataclysmia. The body of Xanthum is recovered from the sinking wreck of the cuttleship, but the villainous Chan and his Khara Malia prisoners escape its destruction. Leytra reveals that she sold Chan a ritual that keeps devas from being reborn. "Lord Blackmoor" claims to hail from the planet "Oerth" and tells the heroes that Lady von Zarkyn's journal is written in two different languages — Sueloise and Flan.

Episode W-203: Wake

Campaign Date: 1 Tamara 1475

The destruction of Sea King Impstinger's flagship leaves the fleet reeling. As Impstinger's surviving captains mourn the loss of their leader, one by one the dead heroes find themselves reappearing as ghosts on the docks of Anchordown, unable to leave the raft-town. They ascertain that something has shunted them into a magically created demiplane, and they discover that they can walk through walls and spy on the residents of Anchordown without being seen. Further exploration reveals the presence of Vecna spies, who are using this "spy plane" to gather secrets without being detected. Deimos tortures and kills two captured Vecnite minions to learn what the evil spies are up to. Fingerbone whistles taken from their corpses enable Rhasgar and Kael to shift back into the natural world, where Kael encounters an exarch of Ioun who takes responsibility for sending the heroes into the demiplane and using the heroes to ruin the Vecnites' "experiment." Meanwhile, the heroes still in ghost form track the Vecnites to their lair inside a brothel and defeat the cult's leaders. They battle a giant undead devourer with a godling's spirit trapped in its ribcage. Destroying the devourer releases the godling's spirit and dissolves the demiplane. All of the heroes phase back into the natural world, alive and well.

Notes: Within the Vecnites' "spy plane," most of the heroes appear as ghostly versions of their former selves except for the warforged Fleet (Nacime Khemis), who manifests as a sphere of crackling necromantic energy. After escaping the demiplane, Rhasgar (Trevor Kidd) turns to Bahamut for guidance after thwarting an attempt by Deimos (Chris Youngs) to summon an aspect of Dispater to help restore his lost ship. While in ghost form, Garrot (Mat Smith) eavesdrops on a secret meeting between Black Maliq and two old enemies: Kharl Mystrum and Nemencia Xandros (last seen in Episode W-180: "Good, Bad, and Ugly"). Black Maliq makes arrangements to transport Kharl and Nemencia safely to the island of Calderax. In ghost form, Rhasgar (Trevor Kidd) spies on his brother Naxagoras, who meets secretly with a gang of common cutthroats interested in helping Naxagoras restore his family name and get revenge against those who destroyed his noble house. Alagon (Andrew Finch) transforms from an elf into a revenant.
