GignesTaureniaBaroque: This massive and mysterious country is home to countless creatures of wilderness, including several Elves and Eladrin. They say that many natural gateways into the Feywild are here in Baroque. Bay of Calm Winds: This bay holds all of the trade ships for rest and repair. It is renowned for its absence of inclement weather of any kind. Legends say that Melora, goddess of the sea, placed a blessing on this area back in Shargas (SH), the Age of the Settled Flame. Castle Taurenia: The kings and queens of Taurenia all reside within the expansive castle and fortress, located only a few hours travel from Tauro. Cloudy Island: Halflings who trade and barter with ships coming and going to and from Konvel reside on the eastern coast here. This island also houses one of the many locations of the Triumvirate of Bahamut. Goblinoid Coliseum: Bugbears, hobgoblins, and goblins all run this gladiator's coliseum nestled and hidden away deep in the Zauk Mountains. Raiding parties gather up prisoners and use them here to for entertainment and lining their pockets with gold. Ironel Sea: Trade routes between Konvel and Tirshan go through here. Many other trade ships make their way through here from far away lands such as the Archipelago of the Coipor Alliance, Zendankt, or Rothas. This body of water is renowned for the high amount of krakens that stalk ships moving through here. Konvel Tradeport: This modest port acts as Taurenia's gateway of trade around the Millagea Ocean. Many ships coming from far away lands make their stop here for trade and harbor. Lake Choltok: Hobgoblins are known to reside in hamlets dotted along the coast of this vast mountain lake. Myths abound that there is a secret entrance to a long forgotten tomb buried under the deepest areas of the lake. Strongheim: This is the capital city of the Stonebridge Dwarves that is nestled deep under the Zauk Mountains. Tauren River: Although this river is named after Taurenia, it actually begins somewhere far to the northeast, past Larshun-Rovanda and the Clandeggin Mountains. Tauro: The capital city of Taurenia. Tauro and its citizens are the guardians of the western half of the peninsula. They are allied with the Dwarves who reside in the Zauk mountains. Tirshan: This Elven city acts as the gateway to Baroque. Trade with the Baroquian Elves is handled here as well as all diplomatic endeavors. As a result, there may be more Half-Elves living here than the Baroquian Elves themselves. Tirshan Wall: This massive and magical wall crosses along the Tirshan Peninsula and is only passable by those who have a "key to Baroque." What this "key" actually is is only known to those who hold them. Apparently, access to the Feywild is much easier once one crosses the Tirshan Wall. Ungaart: This tribal village was founded by human barbarians who live and hunt in the Yugov Marshes. They sometimes trade furs and other natural goods with Konvel and Tauro. Wood of Keen Eyes: Home to several natural creatures, including the Elven city of Ganthovin and a Druid Grove. Yugov Marshes: This vast swamp lies between the Wood of Keen Eyes and the Ironel Sea. Legend states that a massive multi-headed hydra resides here who is supposedly immortal. Zauk Mountains: These mountains cover the majority of the southern edge of the Taurenian peninsula and act as a geographical boundary between Taurenia and Larshün-Rovanda. Many mysterious and powerful creatures are known to reside here, including Gethefre--an ancient silver dragon who is part of the order of dragons known as the Silver Scale. ![]() Larshün-RovandaThe Demonic Split: This gaping crevasse stretches dozens of miles across and is nearly 5 miles wide. Those who are unfortunate enough to fall into this split find that there is a natural portal to the Abyss, another plane that harbors multitudes of mysterious and powerful monsters. Desert of Rovanda: This vast desert stretches across much of the land east of the Taurenian Peninsula and heads north up to the Clandeggin Mountains. A few blue and brown dragons are known to hunt here, but its most recognized land feature is the Demonic Split. Ganthovin: The primary Elven city within the Wood of Keen Eyes. The head of the Elven counsel, Galanodel, resides here. Mount Rakur: The legendary silver dragon Gethefre (born approx. TH 1000) is known to live here. However, it is much harder to locate the actual mountain, let alone the home of Gethefre. Gethefre is a member of the Shimmering Scale--a guild of silver dragons. Nymph Grove: This well hidden grove is home to a group of Nymphs, one of which was captured by the King of Taurenia in TH 1590. Check the Calendar or the History & Myth sections for more information. Plain of Storms: Travelers of all sorts try their best to avoid this dangerous area. Legend states that an ancient blue dragon was once slain here but the electrical magic that charged the dragon's body tainted the land, causing it to be eternally stormy. The Quay of Larshün: This Quay is nestled on the southeast corner of the Taurenian Peninsula. While it is not really known for its trading, many ships use the gargantuan lighthouse located a mile offshore as a guide to help steer clear of the Swallowing Gulf and continue onward toward Konvel or perhaps Delia. (Shown on the "South Central Aleen-gha Map") Sharn: This humble town is located on the foothills of the eastern Zauk Mountains. The town remains fairly isolated and manages to support itself through its own small agricultural system. Silent Wind Grove: The druidic order of the Silent Wind is composed of members from all races, including elves, eladrin, humans, gnomes, and halflings. They call themselves the protectors of the Wood of Keen Eyes and sometimes make patrols into the Yugov Marshes in order to stave off attacks from the swamp dwellers. The Swallowing Gulf: There are many who know of the natural dangers of these waters and steer clear of them altogether. Those who don't are foolish. Anyone who can find a way to reach the depths of this gulf will find countless shipwrecks and even more countless treasures here. There is a reason there are no towns or cities that rest alongside the Swallowing Gulf. Zarza, Airborne Tower: This massive city hovers several hundred feet above the ground. It has the ability to move slowly around but generally keeps to the plains area between the Zauk Mountains and the Swallowing Gulf due to the relatively calm weather. An ancient order of mages created the tower of Zarza in Abstratia (AB), the Age of the Dreamer. Over the course of hundreds of years, the tower has expanded into a floating metropolis of sorts. Many traveling merchants who have the means to travel by air or through the planes come here. As a result, adventurers can find very powerful magical items and trinkets in the shops here. ![]() Haven AreaThis area is directly north of the Larshun-Rovanda map and is still considered part of that area.Clandeggin Mountains: This region is known for its particularly craggy peaks and the hordes of Dwarves who live on and under them. A few brown dragons have been spotted from time to time in the southern foothills of this region. C'thullsto, the Dark Wood: Evil abounds in this wood. They say the dead walk through here each and every night, stalking any living prey they can find. In fact, many pathways wind their way through the wood, leaving proof of their constant wanderings. Haven: The inhabitants of this small fort garner a zeal for the sun god Pelor. Many of its more militarized citizens fight to stave off the evil that constantly arises in C'thullsto, the Dark Wood. Rennora: This city rests on the banks of the Tauren River and provides riverboats a means for resupplying and reparations for their journey to Konvel Tradeport. ![]() Archipelago of the Coipor Alliance/Northwest Millagea OceanAlfa: Archipelago of the Coipor Alliance: Badj: Central tribal camp of Delia. Fairly technologically advanced considering how cut off the Delians seem to be from society. The buildings seem akin to many seen in Abrinax except that they also have a fairly advanced sewage system. The buildings are in rows leading towards the ocean from the nearby mount Agathon. Between each row of buildings there is either a road or a sewage ditch (offset every other row). Twice a day the Delians release water dammed from streams coming from Agathon which sweeps out the sewage ditches into the ocean. Likewise they use water from the same rivers in a aqueduct system made from wood and hollowed out tree trunks to provide fresh water 3 times a day. Beta: Delia: Delia has no real government and therefore no real leader. The community gets order from tradition and staying in line with it. Thus outsiders are often met with distain and are seen as disruptions on tradition. There is a council of Delia which meets once a hexus in Badj to discuss community issues. Once a month this meeting involves the entire community, the other meetings primarily involve what is known as the council of elders, a group of about 50 respected business men and community members. Delta: Epsilon: Gamma: Maas: This isolated island is home to a large tribe of Genasi--many of whom are swordmages. Millagea Ocean: This ocean spreads out far across much of the southern hemisphere of Aleen-gha. Much trade occurs on these vast waters, and consequently, much pirating occurs here as well. (The corresponding map only represents the northwest tip of this expansive ocean. Mount Rukar: This lone mountain located north of the Archipelago of the Coipor Alliance is home to ____________ (born approx. TH 1250), another silver dragon who is also a member of the Shimmering Scale. Orka: Zendankht: Home to a large community of Tieflings, Zendankht is a very militarized isle. The people of Zendankht are constantly fighting pirates and other enemy ships who pass by there on their way to the Archipelago of the Coipor Alliance. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sections: Main | Artifacts | Characters | NPCs | Locales | Maps | History | Culture | Campaigns Continents: Altha-Feor | Bottenhavet | Gignes | Ro'thas Specific Locales: Cloudy Island |
