As you can imagine, redesigning the D&D site was a monumental task. The old site had a long history with fans from third to fourth edition.
But, let's face it, the site was in dire need of a day at the web spa.
As producer, I was given a clean slate and told to create a well organized destination that allowed users to easily browse content, find products, and access D&DI tools. Did you know the old site had some thirty-two silos of archives? Indeed, it was difficult to find content. Fortunately, I had the assistance of our excellent content team and the D&D Creative Manager. Kudos to you guys!
Critical to the success of the new site was the archive system. It had to be intuitive, it had to be a place users could browse across several topics quickly and easily. The amusing part of that project lay with the origins of its design. Our sterling UI Designer scanned the web looking for an ideal archive system.
Magazine sites? Nope. Couldn't believe that at first.
News sites? Not a chance.
Recipe sites? Bingo!
You read it right, the place where cooking techniques for such classics as cheese fondue and roasted frogs legs are found, proved to be the model we were going for.
I could go on and on about the intricacies of the site's design, but I think it's quality speaks for itself. I hope you all enjoy the new site!

Well, tremendous work has been done, that's obvious.
NjxtThe new site is far better looking, and easier to navigate. So kudos to the whole team.
But I don't know why ... (perhaps crossing the Atlantic ocean ?) ... the old site was pretty slow and this new one is even slower.
Anyway, that's a nice (re)start.
