Thanks to Jesse for a GREAT run at Act 6!! We saw, and didn't see Re-delbrook. Miri come and go. Mariz's sister rescued, and of course the battle with the ancient Sarrukh for the 4th shard of hope. Oh, AND LOTS of interesting travel. Its only three days before the beginning of the new year on Faerun - I wonder what it will bring?!
Miri looked over the table in the dim light. The Raunie's tent was filled with the exotic smells of spices gathered from near and the faraway lands. On the table before her were various seer's stones, many of which had been pasted down from Raunie to Raunie over countless generations.
When she had first seen them this close, Miri was several years younger. The stones, perhaps several dozen of them, were polished to show off their individual characteristics. She could hear her grandmother asking here, "So Miri, what is 'this' one." Her grandma held up a pure white stone, about the...
To the people of the camp, the Raunie's tent was a magical and mystical place to be both treasured and feared. To Miri, it had become a place to hide from the peering and probing eyes of the tribe members who all wanted something of the "little raunie" - a blessing, a curse, a lost locket, and the listed went on and on. All requests not important for the camp seer, but important enough to ask someone, were directed her way.
Miri carefully took a peek under the tent wall flap, hoping to find it empty of Visti family asking for wisdom or Dukka outsiders looking for a reading or fortune...
"I can't believe I told her," Miri said in a voice that clearly sounded upset. Only Fluffy was in the small cabin room to hear her and being an animal companion, he was unlikely to tell anyone. Fluffy moved quicly out of the pacing 12-year-old's way as best he could. Fluffy was way larger than Miri and it was a small room. Miri was in tears now, "I promised I wouldn't do this again." She looked over at her animal companion - a rage drake - that had just knocked over a small stool and table just to get out of her way. Fluffly looked either emabassed about that fact, or confused at what...
Thanks to Alex for a great run on Act 8... we saw the death of a cool character (Delbrook), but not of course the Moonstar line, several new faces while Mariz and Bearn were out chacing dragons and lost sisters, as well as MANY remorable battles. Great job GMing Alex, we appreciate all the hard work that does into planning and running all those sessions!!
We forgot to roll this out last session, so rolled for everyone that attended last session... and the winner is..........Hadril... Item number 3.: Oceanstrider Boots - level 14 - Adventurer's VaulIts a good fit too, as I think Hadril had the 'style pint' winning shot last night :-)- Sav
Congratulations on your run at Vanrakdoom! I have a feeling you're not done with Lord Vanrak (or Shar) - but perhaps you've had enough for now!
I posted several pictures in our gallery from the game... I'm looking foward to seeing where Act 4 takes you :-)
I'll get your XPs (include your Story Development Rewards at asap.
Good job - you manage to pull it off.

Hi there party! It was fun watching you folks slap that poor nightwalker around last time.
No changes in level from last game... through some of you are getting really close! No one claimed the summery this week... so go for it if you like. The thread to the scene is open now (under "Our Story So Far"). The x2 bonus is open to any one who posts on a 'first come first serve' basis, but remember you still get a nice XP bump for any character perspective post. On high XP sessions, well.. it never hurts thats for sure!!! Oh, in addition to your Cxp-Txp (creature-treasure XP)...
This is another room I remember with A LOT of fondness - that is opposed to the warped gargoyles room.
(Don't you just hate it when standard monsters behave in non-standard ways! All kidding aside, be prepared for the idea that many of the monsters won't be 'book-value' but rest assured, there almost always is a way to deal with them .)
It was interesting to watch you go for the sun-globe so quickly and so well. By taking it out so quickly, you were able to get out of being hit by its more nasty effects. Then you had a much better time dealing with the guardians than otherwise. Very...
Watching you guys work thoug "Despot" in 4e has been/and is a blast! I have so many fond memories of this 'classic', especially the next boss room. I won't spoil it for you, but we really struggled with solving how to proceed - even though we had already worked out the 'key' to the progessions (which I'm not sure that you guys have done yet).
We laughed at ourselves for months after that encounter... even though we had to drag around two bodies with us until we could find a way to bring them back into the game.
