Terrigen is a "poor" blood Half-Drow, the progeny of a House Bladesmaster and a human slave. As with all slave begotten children, Terrigen (pale one) was raised in the House slave quarters until he was old enough to walk and was then put to work scrubbing floors in the House compound. When Terrigen was 18, a retinue of Illithid from the far realms came to parlay with the Drow for mutual advancement. As a gesture of goodwill fifty of the healthiest House slaves were bequeathed to the Illithid for their journey home. Terrigen was one of the first loaded onto the Illithid ship MindTrawler. MindTrawler set sail into the deeper channels of the elemental chaos for its long journey home, with the terrified slaves waiting in it's larder for their inevitable doom. Terrigen was taken from the larder on the third day of their voyage on the elemental "sea". Marched by thralls to the Captain's chamber, "What an honour" they told him. The Captain closed the door behind Terrigen and began to talk to Terrigen, the way a cat would stalk a mouse, heightening Terrigen's terror and enhancing the meal to come. Terrigen was frozen in terror as the Illithid approached and his tentacles started to latch onto Terrigen's cranium. The Illithid prepared to feed but then a bolt of pure terror travelled from Terrigen down through the tentacles to the open waiting mind of the Illithid. The Illithid was stunned and fell backwards trying to coalesce rational thought as Terrigen stood there in awe and fear. Something inside Terrigen finally snapped and he threw himself out the cabin's porthole into the chaos beyond. Terrigen was swept into MindTrawler's wake and left for dead in the Elemental Seas. He tried to keep his head above water and finally was washed up on a shoal. The shoal was a rest stop for the StormRaider ship Chaosium, captained by a Minotaur known as Captain Bull, a cruel but practical humanoid, who took pity on the wretched Terrigen and took him aboard to teach him the "noble" trade of Privateering. Terrigen learnt to defend himself with the help of his crewmates and collected many diverse styles from among the various soldiers on board. Terrigen worked hard and earnt his share of the plunder that Chaosium raided on the elemental sea. Years passed and eventually they set down at one of the greater ports of civilisation. With a smile and a wave, Terrigen left Chaosium behind and sought out help to get him home to the Prime Material Plane. It cost nearly all his treasure but he was able to get passage to the surface of his world. Terrigen travelled the land, making his way as a hired hand until in a bar brawl he met Samael They spent the night in lockup and bonded dealing with their half-orc cellmate. Samael offered him work with his outlaw band and Terrigen took it. The band were wiped out and Terrigen continued on alone, as always, taking whatever jobs came his way.
Terrigen has an easygoing demeanour which masks the rage he carries within. He does not condone slavery and has no love for the Underdark, Drow or Illithid. He always feels like a second-class citizen and does his best not to be noticed by the authorities.
