Norestu-Kai was the founder of both the Jade Phoenix Mages and Clan Asati. He was a legendary Swordsage who dedicated his life to battling Goland Luther Von Trap III and the Trantherian Empire.

History:
Raised outside of the Kawanga Clan, Norestu was brought up with a different belief system, but was still pledged to the clan. His values and the clan’s came into direct opposition shortly after he began his ninja training, and he was forced to flee.

Norestu stowed away on a ship that made the perilous journey across the Solnor Ocean, and began adventuring in Oerik. He found a kingdom of people similar to himself in Celene, and settled there. In time he became a trusted advisor to the Queen, married, and began a family.

When the Vexerad threatened to reestablish the Trantherian Empire, Norestu-Kai left his growing family and fought the danger back for a while, vowing to never rest until their evil was destroyed. Years later, with Norestu’s children now adults, the Vexerad were again faced down.

Finally, when the Vexerad returned for the last time, Norestu and his great-grandchildren aided in the destruction of the villains. Shortly after Lando-Sek reached adulthood, Norestu decided that forming his own clan would provide the greatest security for his family and his adopted nation.

Over the years, many of Norestu’s children and grandchildren served Celene’s leadership, and Clan Asati prospered under Norestu-Kai’s leadership. When Norestu-Kai died of old age in 479 CY, he was 129 years old and had successfully established a family and clan numbering over 130 members.

In 589 CY, Marek du Gray discovered that he was actually the returned soul of Norestu-Kai, sworn to be reborn again and again until the Trantherian threat was ended. When the Drow Invasion swept the continent and captured the evacuated nation of Celene, Clan Asati found safety in Marek’s/Norestu-Kai’s enclave called Songhold.
