I'll give the month and the days I'm available -
July 29 (Sun)
August 12 (Sun)
August 25 (Sat) & 26 (Sun)
Sep 02 (Sun)
Sep 8 (Sat) & 9 (Sun)
Sep 15 (Sat) & 16 (Sun)
Oct 13 (Sat) & 14 (Sun) - Probably the time I'll be ready to run something consistent
Also, any weekend I'm around on the Saturday, I can be around that Friday night for something on the later side!
I've been pulling together Dungeon Crawl Classics Stuff, and some cool Icons stuff. Todd Long and I are going to get together and run some Icons with each other so we're both up to snuff on the (easy) system. I'm putting together some new easy cheat sheets and stuff!

Okey doke - I'm out Weds-Fri of this week, 1.8-3.8
UPDATE: I'll be out on the weekends of the 18th, and the 25th (got an in-law wedding to go to, and then someting else I can't remember but it's probably important).
Beyond that, I'm generally open, but subject to rapid change if I get a new job and it requires me to move suddenly.
How about Sunday 5.8 we try a few "wargame" style combats, using our PCs from Blade & Lantern, on a Google+ hangout?
I'm thinking something with a lot of baddies, for instance we can take the fight with the wererats/flesh spiders/Ass golem, and we test that as a "banded" fight; and we also perhaps take a big solo with a couple minor players and try that as well?
That should give us some exposure to how (and if) the system works, whether we should tweak it, if I missed stuff, etc.?

Yeah. I did just kill your BBEG with a vorpal frisbee. Problem?

Unless I was hearing anything from anyone else, I was assuming that people weren't available. Schlong was with me this weekend; he came up for a visit and we played cards, played the Dungeon Command miniatures game and tested out some Icons stuff. I expect that we are going to fire 'er back up around that September timeframe -

For the record, GW2 is rocking ). I'm really digging it.
My guys are on the EU server "Piken Square", but I've got a slot or two free for putting new chars on another box if you guys decide to try for a US one.
The zones each have sub-zones, with level gradations between them (so a zone that has level 1-15 has areas that have critters of level 1-3 in one area, 2-6 nearby, etc.). When a character is running through an area, those zones impose a level cap on the character. So if a L20 passes through a subzone where monsters are around L5, the character will be leveled down to L6 or so.
Makes it really easy for groups with a wide level spread to hang out - even the high level guys will make decent xps (not nearly what they'd get in a high-level zone, but enough to make it worthwhile, and there are skill points and things to gather).
I am nowhere near the level cap, but I'm enjoying the trip there so far.

I've been playing some GW2 as well, but I'm pretty lame - I have a 6th level Engineer and a 2nd level Necromancer, just kind of been messing around. I'm on the Tarnished Isles American server (I think that's what it's called). I'm so rusty at this stuff I really don't have any idea of what I'm doing and no matter what, it still seems like a tremendous amount of effort to actually get a character leveled up to anything worthwhile I talked to Brian about it last nite, and he says he'll be getting it soon. I don't really understand how to get anywhere interesting or even how to find interesting stuff, I guess I'm wandering around the starting areas of my race - is there some kind of generic "open world" I can get to and see more stuff, or are you trapped forever in the "regions" of your birth killing birds and bats and stuff. As always, I'll probably get too frustrated and bored to put in the work it takes to learn enough about how to play to get better!

The starter cities are pretty big - keep an eye on the mini-map on the bottom-right, that will give you pointers from time to time on where some of your storyline stuff is. Also, keep tagging the "M" (map) key to get your bearings - things can get a little mixed up without a direction sense check now and then.
The regions are entirely open - you can move from one to another freely, just like EQ used to. They even have zone barriers that look like big circular vertical whirlpools. There are also "gates" which are purple versions of zone barriers.
As for doing worthwhile things, I'm finding that leveling just sort of comes naturally here - there's no major push to hit a level cap, things just progress in the background. Once you hit 10th you'll get a skill point and a trait point (skills are things you actively trigger in a fight, traits are running all the time depending on whether you're currently focused on them - for instance, my elementalist has traits based on elements, while a ranger will have traits focused on weapon types).
Also, at this low level you'll have generally fewer unlocked hot-keys (the bottom bar has setups for keys 1-0 for skills and weapon actions). Those will fill up over time with other cool things to do.
Keep an eye out for random local events - those are good xps, and they scale depending on how many other players are around.
I'll crank out a character on that server if I can figure out how to get back to server selection ).
Edit: I tried to start up a character there, but I couldn't start one on that server without initiating a full account transfer. Any odds you guys could crank up something on Piken Square in the EU zone? I've got a couple RL friends in here already, but I suppose I can open a second account there in US if absolutely necessary.
Let me know -
