Recently, WotC changed the look of their website. You might now be familiar with this:

Now, this is not the first time WotC has overhauled their site. We saw a massive update to the site for DDI in the spring, which I reviewed here

My problem with the old site was the lack of news and announcement on D&D and the like of content for anyone but subscribers. I'll actually directly quote my old introduction:

What should a good D&D website do? It should be the hub of the game and community. It should inform players both new and old, reporting the newest information on the game, hosting press releases and reports of large events, as well as offering information on the game and game products. It should be a marketing tool, a gaming accessory, and information platform.

A few months back, Wizards of the Coast completely re-did their website, supposedly based on the templates of cooking websites. After the change I had some trouble finding things, which goes hand-in-hand with any change. I decided to not immediately evaluate the change or current website design or policy, instead waiting until I was a little more familiar and comfortable with the lay-out.

Purpose of the Website
