    The Wolf and the Explosion

    Saturday, April 30, 2011, 3:37 AM

This is the first of my in-game funny stories revolving around our campaigns.

Our story begins with us being lost in the middle of a rather large forest. After wondering around for a while we find ourselves a small village occupied by senselessly religious people.

In the middle of the village was a statue dedicated to a werewolf - we knew what we were in for.

It hit midnight and the villagers gathered around the statue, the moonlight shined on them and they transformed into werewolves, they looked at us and ran off...leaving the village empty.

After searching it head to toe we found a few barrels of explosive gun powder. Being smart we positioned them in front of the main gate and placed our characters on the roofs.

BOOM! Out of nowhere a few low-level werewolves attacked us, they were no match for us but we soon found out they were just a distraction. When we went back to our watching we were amazed to see the barrels gone.

It was a few areas until something else happened next, we had lost all four barrels so we decided to split up and search. - Occasionally we would here patter from the rooftops or the odd groan, we'd never see anything though (they were messing with us!)

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Group one consisted of a Dwarf Cleric (durun) and an Elven Warloc (Kalzar) - The dwarf hears a noise coming from behind the shop, he goes to investigate...he stands there in awe, he rounds the corner to see a werewolf (on fire) over the two barrels of gunpowder.

The dwarf turns as quick as he can, dives through the air shouting 'HEALING WORD' and hits the floor, as the werewolf smashes into these barrels (BOOM!) - It was an almighty explosion that blew up three houses nearby and the shop - The dwarf rolled lucky though because it barely touched him.

The warloc stood on the other side of the shop and shrugged it off.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It got to a point where things were getting pretty dire, we were being chased left, right and center. We decided to take cover in a church and bolt the door - see if we could get some heals in.

The warloc cast 'Eye of Alarm' and put a sentry out of the door, to see what was going on.

Everyone staid in the bottom except for a dragonborn named 'Kriv' who took it upon himself to climb the stairs. He got to the very top and when onto the roof, there being the vicar - grinning like a madman.

Before anything new could happen - Kalzar's 'Eye of alarm' picked up two werewolves carrying the remaining 2 barrels, towards the door. - He cast an elritch blast through it and teleported himself to safety without telling anyone.

All the other characters saw was Kalzar whisper a cast to himself, give them a slight wave and then vanish.

ANOTHER BOOM! - The church doors blasted into the hallway and smashed into two of our characters. Everyone took damage and the vicar on top of the building died from it. - (Thus killing the story)

This next explosion took the church out, leaving our characters to trail out of the wreckage...luckily we left with our lives.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Morning came soon after and we never went back to that village. - We did get all the werewolves though.

Okay so to begin with I'm a big fan of the dungeons and dragons game, I play it every week (in fact its one of the highlights of my week) - - - This is an excellent play to throw out some of the exciting things that are happening in the game and exactly what's going on within our characters lives.

I also take it as a chance to plug a website, my website, dedicated to the game...
