Hey everyone,
So I did get my D&D game going quite a while back for Kobold Hall, it ran smooth (except I only had 2 players versus an entire dungeon, i.e. the boss presented problems), however I made sure of guiding them through to the end with a couple tweaks. What ended up happening was my two dragonborn players, a warlord and a wizard beat the crap out of a lot of kobolds up until my warlord player asked if they could just barely kill the kobolds and knock them out, I agreed, since this gives them a shot to show off role-playing and what ended up happening is they forced a kobold into servitude and used him as their ally until the end.
ANYWAY this blog post is really on my recent playing of Magic : The Gathering, it's not actually official yet, because my only local "comic & gaming" store is actually up in Halifax, where as I'm down in Bridgewater. Anyway I'm one of those players that is unbelievably picky about their characters, cards and gaming but can't actually figure out why. It took a whole day of thought before I "almost" got my combination... sadly I still see how every single card could lead me to victory so I'm still kind of in the following fields, see if you can help me out if you're a player like this too, I decided my 3 possible categories of interest are...
-Blue Mana Cards, because their 1/2 defensive style will help me deal with any of those annoying cards I think may be coming or can be dealt with. Plus the huge blue sea beasts are actually pretty cool and do loads of damage.
-Black Mana Cards, because 1: I've been playing Necromancers, Undead and Hordes of the Damned for almost an eternity. 2: Because of the spell cards provided by the black mana, I could for instance draw another card I liked. But then comes the irony, where as in the training vids they say Black sacrifices whomever to get where ever, the captivating vampire looks like a major tactical advantage.
-Red Mana Cards, because the offensive capabilities are endless, if I run into a snag with my tactics out comes the hell-beasts and fire elementals. Yeah, rage deck.
So to state this case I've drafted my bluish deck for you, I'll call it... Oceanic Whim.
