E059: Lord of Air

Ralvereon was reborn in a blazing inferno from his ring of the phoenix, and Akra, being an Avatar of Io, soon returned to life himself.  Still, The Red Order had learned well the perils of flying around hundreds of feet in the air, and brought the battle down to ground level.

12 Ways Dungeons and Dragons Prepared Me to be a Corporate Executive

Long before I was an executive at one of the world's largest companies, I was a blue-collar kid playing Advanced Dungeons & Dragons in the basement with my siblings and friends. Many decades would pass before it became chic to be geek - Comic-Con, Dragon Con, Marvel, and even The Lord of the Rings have become mainstream hits, television shows around gaming and nerd culture have been developed, The Geekie Awards received a BILLION media impressions in its inaugural year, and so on.

E058: The Real Foe Manifest

The Red Order went straight for e'Kuulvahdra, and while she was certainly outclassed, she confidently asserted that the heroes were too late, that nothing could stop Tharizdun from rising, and she repeated her delusion that she would rule the world by his side.

E057: The Red Order Gets Stoned

While Lolth was dead, the egg that had prevented her from teleporting her divine essence away was still open, spewing spiders eternally.  With no way to stem the flow, The Red Order decided to abandon the mecha-spider.

The door at the back of the chamber led into a small room full of smashed mirrors, Lolth's portal network destroyed.  So The Order fought its way back through the spider-packed structure, stopping to pick up the last of the tortured slaves from his cell and riding their own portal back to Arvandor.

The Start

Looks up and sees the dragon that distroyed and killed many lying there in pain on a huge rock.

Gets off horse and runs toward dragon climbing each rock one by one quickly but carefully with sword in hand.

Reaches top and goes to kill the dragon but someone wakes me up...

E056: The Real Thing

While The Red Order prepared the egg of Lolth in the pocket plane of the exodus knife, drow and demons searched for them.  Only one, the high priest e'Kuulvahdra that had been previous owner of the egg, noted where they were, speaking to them as if she could see.

Rather than give away the hiding place, she promised to meet them later for a talk, before departing with the rest of the search parties.

What I need in a Living Game

I've written before about how much I love Living RPGs.  But, today's post is about the dark side of Living Games.  I was at a con this weekend, running a battle interactive, and some things went wrong at my table.  I want to talk about some of what happened and some other Living RPG problems.

E055: Lolth's Web

The demon-queen of spiders was willing to converse with The Red Order, but only talked crazy.  She gave no justification for her breaking of the Paragon Compact and allying with the Dragon Kings to destroy all of the world.  She considered herself above justification to mortals.
