If only I had been so lucky... I was going the B/W route because my opening packs had the rings and nothing else of any real importance.
By the time I was done drafting, I had like... 5 white cards... so I cut them and went mono black. The deck was actually pretty damn strong and I won every match that I didn't get completely screwed in.
My match 2 though... 1 land hand, everything in my hand cost two... one more land and I'm golden. I'll draw a land right? Sure... by turn 8.

Ah, Indeed. This was a hair before my time. I came back to the game just before New Phyrexia was releasing. Zendakir was still standard at the time, but besides the Eldrazi deck my friend put together for me as a "Welcome back to the game" present, I did most of my magic playing/buying with the scars block and up. Thanks for the answer, I was curious.

I'm known as S'Tsung and I live in the Czech Republic. I study Interactive Media and I'm trying to open and run a game store in Prague, the Czech's capital.

Since early age I play TCGs, role playing games and miniature games. I like to read and do many other stuff like playing video games (RPGs and music games mostly) but that's up to you to discover who I am^^
