So this week, our party consisted of a drow warlock (me), a half-orc slayer, eladrin wizard, eladrin ? sorceress, and an elf thief. I didn't heal up to full so the warpriest could heal me and the few healing surges I had left would be stretched out a little, but alas, he was not here this week. Thus the first hit in the game drops me to 4 hp! The encounter wasn't that bad, though. We were in a crypt and the drow leader activated a mist to animate the dead. We were allowed to spend actions every round to make an Arcane check to delay the mist. We managed to successfully delay the mist every round until the DM decided it was dissipated, as the battle was over. There were a few drow archers, but they didn't amount to much. All and all, we only played about an hour. I don't think the module accounted for us having 3 casters to share the task of maintaining the mist. It would have add an eventual 21ish minions to the fight. Most of the damage dealt by us was handed out by the thief, then slayer. Also, we earned a Crown of Eyes (LV6) and a +1 totem thing the sorceress wasn't sure if she could use. I have one unspent healing surge and I'm just barely out of the bloodied state. Hopefully next week our healer will return and I can spend my surge+1d6!
