I love D&D...but this system...I don't know. It mods every single round of combat. And the DM is supposed to keep track of MOBS of monsters just to make it even. I was running a combat with 8 players and 3 monsters and keeping track of things was nearly impossible. I used a spreadsheet to tag effects but even tagged I couldn't remember everything and apply it. What my players really love about my DMing style is the cinematic way I describe and keep combat rolling. Not their powers. Not the mods. Not the buffs. Not big hits (since they have no idea how big the monsters are they are fighting they don't even know if they have done a big hit) I'm unhappy with character/monster balance. My monsters are whimps. Even the Elites get taken down fast and do like d12+2 dmg and have nothing compared to the plethora of crap the PCs have. There are just too many problems with this "not D&D" system. Why did WotC decide to dump 30 years of tweeking for this?
