I understand your initial edition rage at 4e Kreens -Dark Sun introduced some incredibly innovative fare for D&D, and of course lots of people got extremely fond of it. Reminds me of 4e Monster Manual Warforged and how lots of people felt they really weren't the same as in 3.5 Eberron... Incidentally, I'm also a Warforged fan of course and it's not like I myself appreciated the way they were translated all that much, either =)
'Species' is really what we should all be using! But yeah, I have made my peace with the new Kreen! They are pretty awesome whether horizontal or vertical.
