It is my hope--nay my dream--to once again be named a "hero of blogging" by wrecan. With all the excitement about new developments in the game, I really want to say something smart and insightful about DnD Next, but there is plenty of good comments on the forums. I have nothing to add except that I am excited and think the idea of encompassing all the editions is great.

In fact, it is what we (my campaign group) have always done. When we were young, we combined the best elements of OD&D and AD&D, and now we are combining elements of 1st edition with 4th edition. What other (non-RPG) game is so flexible? None! That is the beauty of D&D.
