I'm aware of a handful of meet up groups and websites for dungeons & dragons in Australia but almost all of them are filled with 3.5 players or people from Sydney, Melbourne etc.
Although I've met quite a few players (I even ran an epic teir campaign), I've had bad luck with organizing times and places to play. One of my players lives in Northham, while another lives south of the river. I ended up wrapping up that campaign because it was simply too hard to get everyone together.
I like teaching new players the rules, and I've been DMing for 3 years now. I attend most games days at the Tactics shop in Perth although I skipped the most recent one; the launch of the DMG2 because I already had a game planned, which turned out to be amazing fun.
