Espada is somewhat femenine, in the sense that it's "la Espada" and never "el Espada". Unless you are talking about "El Espadon" which is a two-hander akin to the Greatsword. Anyways, I happen to agree, it sounds cooler Del Espada than De la, but I have a thing for three names in characters, so Zulphan Del Espada rings a true winner in my playbook ;) Glad to see you took my comment as what it was instead of an offense.

I left in the Del Espada rather the De la because it was just as much a title as a surname. As far as I am aware, using Del instead of de la implies a title. I'm not sure if Espada is masculine though, so you may be right. In any case, Del Espada sounds cooler. :P

Hello I don't want to be a jerk or anything, you seem like a very educated poster so I know you probably know this already. Anyways, here goes: Regarding you character Zulphan Del Espada. The proper translation for "Zulphan of the Sword" would be Zulphan De la Espada. If you want that to be "Zulphan, the Zword", then it is Zulphan, la Espada. Anyways, just chiming in for what is worth, I only mentioned because I read you play him as this badass spaniard and that's a really cool concept, so if you want translation accuracy well that's how it goes. However, it's YOUR character and if you like the name you already have then, by all means. Take this as a comment in good faith made from one fellow Player to another.
