As Mr. Crews pointed out in a recent Facebook Note over on his wall:

"Even though everyone is paying a lot of attention to the rares and what will be chase or not, I think there has been a tiny gem slip through the cracks as a common.

Scythe Tiger - G, 3/2, Shroud. Sacrifice if unless you sac a land.

Ok, this is stupid good imo. It's got evasion, tempo, and a beater all in one body. Drop this turn 1, followed up by a turn 2 Nobel Heriach, and swing for 4. This card sets you up for early beats and will need to be answered eventually (while you drop more threats). The good news, is that this little Tiger has great synergy with Knight of Reliquary. There may even be more possibilities, we'll see but this tiger has me thinking."

MEOW!

I'm already trying to decide where this beast would fit in my Bant Deck.  Naturally you would want him to be a turn 1 drop, but in that deck I'm usually looking for a mana fix such as Noble or Birds, and that deck is so dependant on getting the Rafiq and Finest Hour out as fast as possible that I don't know if this would be beneficial to the overall synergy of the deck or not.  The biggest advantage is obviously that it starts beating face on turn two and they can't remove it without throwing something in front of it to block so it puts them onto the defensive VERY fast, which fits the theme of the deck.  One of quite a few downsides to it is the fact that it's not affected by Knight of New Alara, as it's not multicolored, so I may try removing the Knights and putting this in it's place and toy around with it for a bit.  Removal is extremely annoying against my Bant Aggro, and having something like this in there would put a stop to the annoyance of Path to Exile and the like.  Not to mention the aformentioned synergy with Knight of the Reliquary means that this would be viable in a "bant" build as well.

Thanks for the quote.  If the Tiger is going to see play than Bant will have to change it's strategy and move toward a aggro/control build. That means ditching the Rafiq's and Finest Hours. This will accomplish several things. First you want a more aggro early game. You also want to lover your mana curve extensively considering you are putting lands in the GY. Below is a rough draft of what I would bant to look like. You only have 7 cards over a 3 CMC. You curve out very nicely with the Knight of Reliquary. The majority of your creatures cost 3, and become very easy to cast with Knight or fetchlands. They also all get bigger over time (Knight and Jenura get stupid). Just throwing this out there since standard has become so aggro and appears to only be getting faster.

4 Nobel

2 Birds

4 Tigers

4 Knight of Reliquary

4 Rhox War Monk

4 Jenara

4 Baneslayer

4 Path

3 Mindbreak trap

8 Fethlands

23 Lands

Yeah, I'm going to have to toy with it once Zendikar fully hits and we see what is fully available.  I'm thinking there is a very viable "Shroud" deck that will come into being in bant with all of the follwoing being standard legal:

And for anything else you would want to run that doesn't already have "Shroud" as an ability:

The shroud idea is viable in limited and maybe block. It just doesn't have the meat or speed to live in T2 play.

I was thinking from a fun perspective.  Definately not something I'd take to a tourney.  I just really want to make that deck and go up against someone with a TON of removal or burn, then have a race with my creatures vs how fast they can burn me to death!  lol.

On another completely seperate note, I see we were both White/Blue in the test.  Lol.
