Details to fill in: @all: About the bar: Does it have a name? Where is it? Is it licensed by House Ghallanda or an independent operator? What is the typical clientele? The bar need not be in a typical location, but for reference, the tavern districts in Sharn and their usual customers are: Olladra's Kitchen (Lower Central) - upper and middle class, House members and clients, diplomats, city government and financial professionals. Hareth's Folly (Middle Dura) - lower class, dock and warehouse workers, goblins, dwarves, unsavory types. Downstairs (Lower Menthis) - middle and lower class, University students and staff, theatre-goers, gnomes and halflings. Cornerstone (Middle Tavick's Landing) - middle and lower class, newcomers, tourists, traders, refugees. I would expect to find Roy, Darigash and Desmond there during business hours, right? How about Nienna and Orianna? I know Lo has a lot of places to be, so I'm not sure when he'd be around. @Blanket_Thunder, would this fellow work for you as someone from Nienna's past (and present)? He's the rival artificer to whom Nienna gave her thriving business when she joined the Archivists. Ahrinus Revenor, male eladrin. Owner/proprietor of "Precision Diamonds and Metals," an expensive and exclusive manufacturer of custom magic items in the Platinum Heights district of Upper Central. Fully accredited and licensed by House Cannith. @Kalis5. About the airship. Nope, no teleportation circle on the airship! Where is the airship and what is done with it these days? I can see 3 possibilities - 1) Given a new coat of paint and a changed name, Roy currently uses the airship in and around Sharn. This is risky, as airships are pretty remarkable and House Lyrandar knows the ship very well. 2) Hidden somewhere, perhaps in the King's Forest. 3) Destroyed. Certainly the safest option, then the ship cannot be traced back to the team. @Kahn: How is Desmond working for House Tarkanan again? What's he doing and why?

Best place for a bar would be tucked away in the middle or lower class regions, places where there's plenty of police action but it's focused on other crimes. Being right under their noses is clever, but it's better when you can blend in.
If possible, a place where a lot of people are coming and going is perfect, brings in a lot of customers and a lot of faces, and there's less chance they'll be checking the people staying there as they're more focused on the people coming and going.
Too bad about the teleportation circle, but if not that then maybe we can get a safehouse that we can dispose of in a flash and put it there in case of detection. Gives us a better chance of escaping that way.
As for the condition, I'd say a new coat of paint, new name, and hidden away in King's Forest would be the best mixture. Destroying it is a bad idea, especially when that tends to mean the destruction of all hands to ensure our groups anonymity. Much easier to bribe someone or hire them as bar workers than killing them and dealing with the body.

My thought for a name, especially since it often goes out of business and restarts in a different location when the wrong people find out about it: Phoenix Fire Inn.

Forgive the double post. Papa M, I use my smart phone to post most of the time, and it turns out that I cannot format, color, etc. on my phone. And copy-pasting looks terrible. I need you to copy my character sheet and put it on the dossiers thread.

@Papa: I think for the moment Desmond is probably just stealing for Tarkanan and enforcing for them (if Tarkanan has need for enforcers). I see it as being a little tricky for them because Desmond is not the type to kill, so although they have him cooperating at the moment, they haven't tasked him with assassination (a move that might force him to stop working for them and take his chances). And the reason he is working for them is because they have hinted at knowing the location of the Archivists, and have threatened to call the authorities down on them if Desmond doesn't play nice. Does that sound like it might work?
I'm running out the door but I will have more later.

Well despite his very busy life style Lo would probably spend his days circling through the city and end his nights as a favored patron of the bar. My question is where will the Archivists live? I heard mention of a safehouse of some sort. My idea would be that those who need them simply "renting" rooms from the bar.
P.S.- On a side note do the halflings have their own seperate language in this Eberron? Just curious because I'm going to swap one of the bonus feats for linguist and trying to make my selections.

Is it an inn, with rooms to rent, or a tavern (bar), that only serves drinks and light meals? It makes a difference to House Ghallanda.
The official sources say no, but I'm changing it. Since halflings have been wandering the Talenta Plains since long before humans arrived, I think they ought to have their own language. I'll call the language "Halfling" but it has another name in that tongue itself. It is rarely used outside of the Talenta Plains, and many halflings grow up never hearing it spoken. House Ghallanda and House Jorasco have invested in preserving the language, as their earliest history is written in Halfling.

I vote for it to be an inn, but I will go with the greater consensus on the matter.

Well I wasn't thinking so much an Inn since that would attract attention from House Ghallanda. More like in an attempt to make some extra coin the owner of the bar has several small, meager rooms above the bar either for staff, to rent out like "studio apartments" or just for an hour should a bar patron need a private room for a small amount of time. Its certainly not glamorous living but someone who just needs a place to keep a few possessions and a bed could live there and not drain their bank accounts to do so.
