Lakota picks up another couple dozen pitons. If nothing else, they can drive them into the earthmote and with an attached rope, it should allow the others to move hand over hand. It is a shame she does not know of a way to negate their weight so that they could float up to the earthmote. That is magic though and she does not have such skills. She is strong though, and she knows she can drive pitons into the earthmote, if she can get up there.
The shardmind hands over a number of the silver discs that are being exchanged now for goods. Fred seems quite happy with the sale, even humming to himself in a deep baritone voice. As they are leaving he tells everyone,
“Once you are done, come back and tell me what type of goods I should recommend for those exploring earthmotes and I’ll give you a discount on your next purchase.” The hike out to the earthmote takes only a few days. The weather is nice and they don’t encounter anything more dangerous than the occasional rain shower, which suits Lakota just fine. This gives them a chance to get to know each other better.
The earthmotes all seem to be in a central valley area, spread out and floating at various levels. It’s easy enough to pick out the one they want. She stands with the others, staring up at it and studying the underside of the earthmote. She looks around for the spot where it tore loose from the earth, wondering when this might have happened. She would guess it happened during the war with the primordial.
She looks back up, studying the sky around the earthmote.
“I don’t see any flying females. Perhaps it is because we are all bunched up in a group, or perhaps they already have a farmer or two they are using.” She pulls out her grapple hook, tying the silk rope to the end. She is pretty strong but she wonders if it might not be better to have
Kava give it a try. He’s taller than she is, which means he’s closer to the earthmote, and he may be stronger.
“Can you throw this up and embed it near the edge. Not too close, but close enough that we don’t have to cover half the earthmote getting to the side.” OOC

I am assuming they’ve had a chance to look around the earthmote and pick the best spot to attempt to climb up. IF they can even make such an attempt. I am hoping the ivy is low enough to grap and shimmy up, at least for those who are light. If nothing else, we could stick sovereign glue on someone and throw them up...

Pash, how much for all the goods? We've got a map case, 5 sheets of parchment, a kettle for cooking with, several packs of dried foodstuff (upscale rations), about 24 pitons, 100-ft of silk rope, signal whistle... works out to be about 24.5gp. Are we keeping track of small things like this & saving our money for a large purchase, or do you want a breakdown of everything we purchase and spend?
