Oh, just put the jar out of sight so your not looking at them all night and you will be fine.

I'm not sure where Thorn's prelude fits in the chronology of what Rune has been doing.
Is it "now" or "past"?

I am thinking it is later than the other posts. It appears a camp is already set up as people are out gathering wood. So I would guess it is either the evening before the group heads out or possibly the end of the first day on the road.

Thorn runs into the caravan as they are preparing to camp for the night outside Starilaskur... the same evening that William is gathering supplies in town and Lisker helps him out. They are three days out of New Cyre and another two days from Cat's Cradle.
This is the meet-and-greet scene, there's no plot development necessary. When y'all are satisfied we'll wrap it up and head down the road. (It beats all entering the tavern common room at the same time).
Haven't heard from Galinndan or Rune (or Thorn, IC) yet.
If you'd like details about the refugees, I have some thumbnail personalities there, but nothing crucial.

I was busy driving for 14 hours on Sunday, and busy flying south and visiting people on Saturday.
Now that I have a better sense of the "when and what" and some sanity returned after my less than restful weekend, I'll see to that reply :p
