After the first rest, only William needs to regain powers, so the others can react to this without disturbing his process. I've got Tann giving the first infusion surge and Lisker spending one for himself. Did anyone else want to spend HS?
prepares another infusion, the skittering claws get closer. He tries to concentrate as dark rats begin to slip into the cavern. One by one, in the moving shadows around the cavern, tiny shining eyes begin to cluster in groups. Clooney calls out over the hiss of rats, still hidden somewhere deeper in the caves. "Please, take your time, but they are too hungry to wait until sunset.
" He chuckles in glee as the rats start pushing into the light in greater numbers. Rat-stomping
Party Status, after short rest 1
These are ordinary-sized rats. In enough numbers, they form the swarms you've fought before, but they haven't reached those numbers - yet. While they cannot yet attack you, you can attack them - trying to kill the rats before they swarm. This is sort of like combat - use attack powers (at-wills only), just in a sustained campaign rat by rat. We'll do four rounds of stomping for each infusion recharged.
The important stats are these: AC 15, Fort 13, Ref 15, Will 11. They take 1/2 damage from melee and ranged attacks and are vulnerable 5 to close and area attacks.
In their current diffuse state, they cannot be flanked or knocked prone. A swarm can never be pushed, pulled or slid. For the time being, we don't need to use a map or initiative. Just make your rolls and keep track of how much damage you do round by round. Yes, William has to sit this out getting his infusions ready.
