I've DMed plenty before. I ran a campaign from 1 to 21, with a DMPC or few, and took some breaks to let my players try GMing around level 10.
I understand the notion that playing to the party's level is important. I, however, have usually had to make the characters for the parties I run (because they're new or/and dislike doing it), and when I'm not GMing, I typically play support characters built as party saviors due to party dynamics.
Also, I'm very optimizing-heavy. I tend to push for as much power and spiffiness as I can initially then ease up from there. The character's mechanics and story must mesh for me.
I admit I've done little playing by post, but I have RPed much via text. PbP, for me, reminds me of my freeform text RPs.

Bal, one request/suggestion. Would it be okay to have an area in the map spreadsheet we can use to update status - or could we add a few things that vary as part of your status line? I was just thinking this would be an ideal location to track say powerpoints in Aztari's case. Just something that won't mess with the template you're comfortable with but gives the rest of us a handy central location. Maybe put a separate sheet in the front that the plebs can doodle with?

If you want to tack on additional things you want to track at the end of your status line, feel free. Just put in another column after "Status, Other". I don't think there are any appreciable limits to how far we can go to the right with that.
@Endarire: I didn't mean to offend-- like I said, I wasn't sure if you had DM'd or not. It was just some advice based on my own experience over the past decade or so which I thought would be useful if you wanted to jump into some of the other games on the forums here.

In that sequence of play, I was setting up Leah (through my prior posts quoting her) to allow primary assessment duties of the dweomered lock to Desmond. Researching campaign threads, I did not find anywhere where there was assumption by the party that he did not have comprehensive ability to assess both mechanical and magic locks - but there was assumption that he was the de facto lock/trap expert for the party - regardless of type. Nor was there in-game knowledge of his inability to handle magic locks (meaning, party-wide build/gear knowledge of the Desmond character). Therefore, she gave Desmond the professional courtesy of "first look".
So I was hoping for a brief dialogue between Desmond & Leah. So I was a bit surprised when Elonin's rolls were made. As I was hoping for a request for Knock and Dispel Magic to deal with the multiple dweomers on the lock (see Leah's quote for that).
Now it looks like there's a Timing Sequence Fudge by OoP and Bal. And Desmond has not suffered ramifications of his bad rolls. Not that I wanted that to happen (of course I would not want that). But, well, I guess this is the way we're gonna continue. Not a problem. Just wanted to explain Leah's modus operandi ...
...
In summation though, I tend to RP ignorance of other PC's detailed build capabilities until it becomes verbally clear via in-game RP. And Leah has probably adventured with trap experts who ran the full gamut of build archetypes with gear supplementation. Had a seen a quote somewhere it stated something like " ... and so the rogue gathered the group around and explained to them his capabilities and support needs when acting as their scout and trapsmith." Etcetera and so on. That's just an example.

The sequence fudge was prompted by Bal (" Before I resolve this, is anyone else doing anything with the lock or just starting off with Desmond's efforts?" ) so I think we're fine. I see your problem but we'll just assume that at some point Desmond mentioned he wasn't sure how to deal with an Arcane Lock. I'm all for assuming RP ignorance btw. With Desmond probably not a spellcaster, his options were always going to be very limited. I didn't mean to wrest control from you: at first I wrote my entire posts with only suggestions from Fëanor, but then I figured I might implement some of them with one of the shared PCs to quicken the pace. Feel free to pick Leah back up and explore the ramifications of the auras. Except if it's too late.

One point on the dispell status of the revised party. Aztari has dispell psionics, but as mentioned pretty much as a secondary emergency usage in case of party separation - I'd always assumed there'd be other party members better at this, and Aztari is ppt light, reluctant to use it except as absolutely necessary. What I'd like to consider is whether rather than dispell psionics (which Aztari hasn't used yet) she was to get touchsight. Just going to have a little dig around now as to the current numbers of permanent and possible detect invisibles, scent and otherwise... Melia's mindsight is the business but I'm not sure if we aren't over reliant on it. We won't have this rather useful ability this trip will we. P.S. well noted on the sheet changes Balthanon, thanks. Edit: running out of fingers working through who's in and who's out

Revised party senses (I didn't include actual perception modifiers here, just the extraordinary stuff:
• Bernar Ironoath - Cleric 8/Prestige Paladin 1/Hammer of Moradin 1 — Darkvision, spells TK, though available spells incl. True Seeing, Invis. Purge, Vision of the Omniscient Eye, etc.
• Aeris Therinal - Rogue 3/Swashbuckler 3/Wizard1/Abjurant Champion 3 — Elf stuff, no sensory/perception stuff on current spell list
• Erut the Forgotten - Grimlock Barbarian 2/PsychicRogue5 — Blindsight 40', Scent
• Voi Unseen - Binder 1 / Wizard 3 / Anima Mage 5 / Paragnostic Ap ostle — Glitterdust, various vestiges that might not be otherwise compatible with strategy
• Feanor - Hengeyokai Bard 3/Cleric 2/Warblade 1/Swordsage 1/Binder 1/Crusader 1 — Scent (via stance); various vestiges (but see Voi, above), darkvision, LL vision
• Desmond - Tiefling Rogue 6 / Scout3 — Darkvision, LL vision
• Dax - Earth Dwarf Barbarian 2/Fighter4/Warblade2/Swordsage2/Crusader1 — Darkvision
• Aztari - Wilder 3 / Paladin 2 / Quori Nightmare 5/ Psion 1 — Darkvision, LL vision

Voi is allocating 1 of her 2 bindings to a vestige that provides Darkvision (Amon), See In Darkness (Geryon), etc. Although my very final edit may include spell support for visual enhancement. I have about 4 or 5 contingency plans for how things get finalized based on our final party composite. It's all just tweaks though - nothing major. I'm open to having Voi being a full-time HP healer if y'all want Buer up around the clock. Although that means major shifting with my feats to acquire "Ignore Special Requirements". It's not what I wanna do, but if y'all think we need it, I'm open to suggestions.
**********
To further Rilem's wonderful list up above, there are Teamwork Benefits that are thematic to "Party Senses"
1. Scouting (Heroes of Battle) ... Remember to combine Listen & Spot for Bal's Rules for Perception.
2. Invisibility Sweep (Heroes of Battle) ... although I don't think anybody has the Blindfight feat. I could be wrong.
3. Gaze Aversion (DMG2) ... Lol! Erut is our gazer! If Bal okays that as a grimlock being able to "gaze".
4. Awareness (PHB2) ... This thing is good for our team. Especially with all the scouty types.
---
There's probably more. Those are off the top of my head. CompAdv and Dungeonscape have some Bennies too.
On a related note, I gotta go over and see if Voi can combo with anyone on a Teamwork Benefit. Snap Out Of It, Fearsome Roster, Steadfast Resolve and Spell Barrage come to mind. Although I don't know if Bal would prefer us to work together for awhile before taking advantage of these game mechanics. As it is, I think Voi is coming in to the game with Erut and possibly Bernar - so she has intimate knowledge of how they roll. Aeris is coming in separately - from out west (Evereska - he knows Torel).
---
Finally, if any of our true advance scouts are interested, the free Trait known as "Nightsighted" might be good take for Underdark crawling. Yes, you get -1 to Perception skills. But you can spot Darkvision 60'-type critters about 10' before they can see you. That won't help against the 120' Darkvision critters, but most of what you'll find down below tend to be of the 60' variety.

Incidentally, how far back did everyone go? I'm assuming at least 10 foot and not in line with the wall that had the door (which is now covered in a blade barrier). If Serina is actually placed correctly on the map, she might need a Reflex save as well. It doesn't look like everyone was updated though. (I probably should have verified that before we started the whole thing.) You also have 1 round to emulate a revivify. (Since it was indeed too late for discussions. Though I suppose they could take place afterwards...) On a longer term note, I read through the One and Five description for Voi. Shar is a possibility for the devotion of the group, but we'll have to see for sure when your affiliation score gets high enough, Tina. One other thing I'm going to need for that is how you've progressed in your affiliation rank at each level-- I'm not sure if you took advantage of the 3 spells per level already, however, if you have, then you're higher than an affiliation score of 11 since that doesn't kick in until then. (If you've taken advantage of it from a low level you are considerably higher in the organization-- potentially approaching that 25 threshhold where you convert or they start trying to kill you.)
