Gordbund actually smiles at the Aren's not so subtle suggestion.  The smile is a terrible thing to behold, filled with pointed, filed teeth and the oddly lipless mouth of a Hobgoblin.

"Heads we go to the Marsh." calls Gordbund.

Lets say heads is 2 on a d2.  Aren flips.

Itch pauses to watch the simple proceedings of determination. Well, glad that was so easy to settle. He waits just a moment to be sure the goblin crew is satisfied with the result and then heads out the door, eager to get his task underway.

Grumgot shrugs and hobbles outside behind the goblin.

If the fools wish to leave decisions to chance then perhaps i will leave the deductive reasoning to my own mind. Perhaps subtler methods are required to sway their decision making...

"Tails it is."

Spinning the coin on the table, Aren reaches for his mug to drain its contents. The post-flip spin seems innocent enough, but to any looking at the coin, it becomes more apparent why the elf decided to give it a twirl - this way, everyone sees the heads and tails sides, and knows nothing was off about the flip.

Noticing Itch leave his seat and the other goblin, looking less than pleased about the result, follow, Aren turns to the others.

"Well, they seem ready to hit the road. Can't say I feel like keeping them waiting."

You're not really making much of an argument when you compare something to a MMORPG and assume people think that means bad.  Lets face it, they make the money, have the audience and the budget.  We here on this board are fans of TTRPGs but lets not try to pretend none of us play MMORPGs.

Given the laziness and morbid obsesity amongst D&Ders, being able to convince someone to get on their feet, do some heavy exercise, and use their words to make them be healthier must seem magical.

AS every resident of Ilthoria knows, the best way to travel across the kingdom, if one couldn't fly or simply teleport, was a skiff on the Moonflow River. The river passed almost every major settlment on the island, and there were dozens of small ferryports along its banks. It just so happens there is one not half a mile from the Owl's Roost Inn, down a pleasent forest trail that leads to the shore of the river.

Normally when one approached one of these ferryports, the resident apprentice ferrymen would greet travelers on the trail and lead them to the docks. However, as the group moves down the trail, no apprentices make an appearance. Something in the air feels...wrong.

I would like Perception rolls please.

Perception 20(1d20) +3 = 23

Itch walks clamly along in his armor. He carries no visible weapons, and gives no indication that he has noticed anything wrong, nor that it concerns him in any way.

What a way to start off my rolls.

A frown slowly creeps its way across Aren's face when no one appears to hail them as they approach the ferry, and it is not for any irritation that no one was present to pay him a cheap compliment or wish him a fair day. The rogue mentally calculates from what angle an attack could come, already beginning to slip into his typical battle mood with the mental exercises.

For a brief moment, the man considers voicing his concerns, but a glance at some of the others shows they sense it, too. Remaining silent, he continues to step forward cautiously, keeping his eyes open for any sudden movement.
