From his postion, Dagulf jams his shortsword into the closest orc's belly. He looks in suprise and shock as the blade plummets deep into the brutes belly. He's never been one for melee fighting.
attack vs next orc (1d20+1=21, 1d4+1=4)

After whispering to Evowyn "you might want to get out of the way soon, I'll be enlarging Oth'ro", Aren takes a step north himself and begins casting Enlarge Person on Othro.

Evowyn listens to the sudden exchange between the priest and Vortigern. She can hardly believe the good fortune that seems to be turning their direction. Should Vortigern flee then the group's chance of survival will increase greatly. On the other hand, Vortigern will escape veangance. Upon second consideration, Evowyn isn't too worried about Vortigern getting away. She'd rather not see more of her friends die at the hands of the rotten wizard. "You got it," responds Evowyn to Aren's warning. The young fighter sees Dagulf get in a crafty strike on the remaining orc within her range. Seeking to take advantage of the orc's distraction, Evowyn slashes out with the magical sickle, aiming to remove the brute's arm at the elbow. Attack = 1d20+6=8Rushing the strike, Evowyn stumbles over the arm of a dead orc at her feet. The young fighter nearly loses her balance and must completely abandon her strike just to stay on her feet. Biting back a poisonous oath, Evowyn shakes her head in disgust and settles for backing out of the way. She prepares to leap out of the way the moment Aren completes his spell to make room for Oth'ro. (Evowyn will take a 5 foot step north into K,5 where Aren was. Editted out the part about a readied move. Thanks TA.)

Ready an action is a standard action - so you wouldn't be able to ready after you've used your standard action to attack.
That said - let them charge through - Oth'ro loves to make AoO... (Combat reflexes )

Spellcraft: 1d20+7=16 Dashing across the courtyard, Radcliffe is not quite able to hear the incantation well enough to discern what it is. Ah, well, at least it wasn't an Unholy Word!

Just posting to let everyone know that the DM let me know through PM that he hasn't abandoned this game; he's just going through a rough patch.
