Oh, a kilt would have been a good idea! No, I didn't go that out for St. Patricks Day especially considering as how I don't have any Irish background. Lots of English, Polish, and Scandanavian though. I had a nice green shirt with a big shamrock on it and then I scored one of those Guiness green plaid hats to go with it. No pictures though.
Some peope went all out. Full on leprechaun costumes, others in wigs and green flair, and even a pair of guys that bought green pants, green ties, and then died their hair green. There was a lot of spirit. Then of course, there was the young crowd on the 6 bus pub crawls that were hooting and hollering most of the night. Saw a few of the outfits on my way home, tended more toward sexy than classic but that is what is great about the young. Probably why we all look fondly on our college days.

I thought kilts were Scottish, not Irish. Not the case?

Personally, I look fondly on my college days because those days involved 30 hours more free time each week.

Kilts are Scottish to be sure. Yet you see folks wearing them on St Patricks. Not sure why.

You haven't seen Braveheart? The Irish in the movie wore kilts as well.

1 ton+ of paper has been shredded.... I am so sick of looking at this stuff. That's just the paper, I don't know what kind of tonnage we've thrown out in metal and waste. A small company over 30 years can collect a lot of useless stuff.

Congrats on your promotion Guido! That is wonderful news. Farmers can now work whenever they want. It is one of the wonderful inventions called lights on a tractor that make this possible. Most farmer’s tractors are now air conditioned and have radios. Add in cell phones and lap tops, and a farmer’s needs are a bit different then they used to be a hundred years ago, at least as far as having to work strictly by daylight and sunset. JMO. ...Who ever invented moving should be flogged repeatedly.

Ughh, got sick. Sitting at home today working remotely. This sucks.
We put in a horrible performance in the hockey playoffs. Lost the first game on Thursday to the best team in our league but it was really close. The loss made us have to play at 11:45pm on Saturday in which we played very poorly and were knocked out of the playoffs. As a side reward from taxing my body so much on Saturday, it appears I have decided to catch a cold. Wonderful.
Very true about the lights on the farming equipment as well as some of the distractions available. Although there are lots of people that harvest all night long now because of those lights. Since the machinery is available they plant more crops than they would normally be able to. Staying up all day and night long with only naps while you unload the combine is not my idea of a comfortable job. I'll happily stick with my nice cushy office job. I don't miss farming in the least.
Tiny, was it the moving or the people jacking up rent that facilitates the need for the move that should be blamed? Or maybe it was just growing too large to fit your current premises. Regardless, I'm with you. Moving sucks.

Well, the lease was ending at the place we are at now. We had found a place just down the road that was nice and only a little smaller than we have now and half the rent. We told the owner of our company and he said he would look into it. He irrated the building owners and everything fell through.
Our owner then said he would find a place to buy. After months of looking, and us getting busy again the owner's people found a place. It is at least twice the drive for most of us and thrice for some. It is also in the same direction as traffic, unlike the place we are now. It is also a LOT smaller than the place we have now.
Oh did I mention that the our other owner negotiated us to stay in the place we are now for about half the rent. But since he only owns a small percentage the other owners building deal is going through. We are leasing the new building with the option to buy in a few years. But even though we are leasing almost all of the renovation have to be paid for by us.
This whole situation is a mess. Not one of us likes the layout of the new building either. The only good thing is that I get an office...

Well at least there's that. Sounds like you work for a butthead, seTiny. I have that too. Was up working orders and Bluestakes, and the guy calls me to ask if I was working on the leak. He of course was on the site and knew I wasn't there. He was trying to catch me lying, but it seems like entrapment to me. Failed too, because I told him I was finishing up the bluestake and would start on the leak after lunch. Lucky to have a job. Lucky to have a job. Lucky to have a job. Etc. Etc.
