We are a pretty friendly bunch here. If you have any questions, just ask and someone usually has an answer.

Hey. New to this particular forum, just felt like saying hello, and wondered if you guys would be interested in helping me set up a game I would like to run.
See, I'm trying to merge the D&D system with an already created setting, but I don't know how many people would be willing to help me play-test any modifications to the rules to allow for this homebrew. Anyone willing to assist on the matter?

Hi I'm new around here. I'd really like to play in a game here.
Is anyone planning a low level, 4th edition D&D game? I looked in the setup area but didn't see anything recent.

Welcome Glitchy! Summer is a fairly slow time around here. New games will be starting up probably more toward the end of next month, though there is always one or two that are starting. Just keep checking the Set-Up Thread. There is also another way to get into a game. When you read through the various game threads and come upon one you really like, you can PM the DM and ask to be put on the Waiting List. Usually the Waiting List does not last long, and many games will take another player without any hassles. I have joined a lot of fantastic games this way!
Welcome Xamusel! I believe you have to show that you are an active player for a month here before starting a game, but that doesn't mean you cannot see if there is any interest for the game. I know there are a few people around this Forum who could help you merge your D&D sytem, but response may be slow due to the summer slowdown. Just hang in there and someone will help. Good luck!

I see. Thanks for helping me know that now.
I'll be sure to join a game on the forum soon enough.

I know that used to be the rule but I do not know if it still is or not. Somewhere there is an Introductory Thread, which I haven't read in a good three or four years, so don't quote me. seTiny is the one you would need to approach concerning starting up a game. He is our amazing Manager and keeps things running smoothly around here. You will notice that all of the pre-game threads have an "approved by seTiny" at the bottom of the DM's first post. Once you get his approval, you are golden.

Howdy everyone. I seem to have stumbled upon this group by chance. I'm new to the WotC community and sort of new to D&D as well. I really like the idea of playing a game via forums since a lot of my time is spent doing other things so I can't really dedicated myself to a 4-6 hour block of gaming in real life, but boy how I wish I could. I've only really ever played 4e so not sure how well it would come across trying to play previous editions. Anywho, great to be hear and I hope to meet some of you on the gaming field.

Welcome Shadow. We have plenty of 4ed games so you should have little problem finding one. We're in our summer slow-down, but new games should be starting up soon so just keep an eye out for them in the Set-Up Zone. You can also join existing games. If you find a 4ed game you really like and would like to be a part of it, simply PM the DM and ask to be put on the Waiting List. It normally doesn't take very long to go from the Waiting List to being in the game. Heck, half the time the DM will simply slide you into the game, which is sweet! Just keep an eye out and something should open up soon. Good luck and I hope to see you around in a game sometime.
