Welcome !
Eberron is the most recent D&D setting, though it's already been around a few years now. Check it out, it's worth it. :-)

Well Hello to you all! I am very new to the Play by Post method, but I am very intrigued and eager to play! In the last week I have been navigating my way through these threads and am thinking that I am, finally, undertanding how this whole thing works....now if I could only find a game!!! I re-introduced myself to D&D last year, around this time, and was delighted to discover that an entire new system was coming out, when I last played it was the first edition!!! (mid 80s). I have been playing the 4e for the past year and love it!! Love the balance and system mechanics!....Also the Character Builder.....what a god send. So here I am now mingling in the Tavern, tossing back some ales, scanning the crowd and seeking a game.... Great to be here!

howdy, Khaerl and Gobi! yeah, it's a little slow around these parts at the moment, but it's definitely good to see a bunch of new blood making its way in, that bodes well for the future, once everything gets all straightened out... and I definitely agree, Gobi, the CB is great... something that had to be started with the new edition, though, can you imagine trying to do that for all the various possibilities and splatbooks for 3.5? "ewwwwwww all these 4e people. Where are the good players, the ones that like 3.5e :P welcome anyway." I also enjoy 3.x E, but all of my books are in Wisconsin and I am in California. "hola to both aeolus and pclaw! looks like each of you has already found a spot in a new game, so congratulations are in order... we're still trying to get this place into some semblance of how it used to be... some progress, but some stuff is still slow... maybe some new blood from you guys will spice things up... HH" Well I did have a game, but I decided to drop because my week was too hectic for me to flesh out my character and all the other players were waiting on me so I backed out out of respect for their time. I will jump into a game soon though. Things have calmed down now that my friends are all moved into their new house. The only commitments I have now is school 3 times a week and church on Sundays. So I'm extremely available to play. On a side note, does anyone know any IRC/AIM/MSN games that have openings or do you usually have to set them up with people before hand?

Hey Pclaw, i got a full load of the 3.5 stuff and will be glad to play that version if a game shows up. As it stands, it looks like I might have been lucky enough to get in on PBN's game... Am bringing green apple pie for when "Berrian" next shows up But i wont let that stop me as for playing in another game... to be honest i have the time due to medical reasons to probably be in several. I do work a full time job but ... ahh well nuff of rl stuff On with the GAMING ! oh and as PBN says "Fire is cleansing, Fire is Life, Fire is ... Pure!" (AND Fire burned the green apple pie!)

Welcome. Look forward to playing alongside you. "Cousin" I had a large collection of 3.5 manuals but sold off most of it a few months back as I was building my 4.0 library. I've still got enough resources on hand to roll up some 3.5 characters as well. Last real life campaign I played in was a 3.5 homebrew adventure. A month before our group took summer break, thus ending the campaign, the DM had converted the campaign over to 4.0. Sorta sad as we were just getting to a part I was really excited about.

Hey, everybody. I'm new to the official D&D Real Adventures kinda play-by-post stuff, but I did play in a few games over at Order of the Stick's site, and DMed a game for some friends on their school group's website. I'm just looking to join a game right now. I own a lot of 3.5 books, but I prefer 4th edition. I'm a full-time student, so my constant breaks between classes mean I can post a few times a day, but the workload prevents me from running a game. Anyways, looks like you guys have a nice little community transitioning from the old forums, so that gives me some confidence that this will be a nice place to find a fun game.

Don't know if a) it's been mentioned, or b) it's public (I apologize if it isn't), but apparently Paul_V is looking for a couple of replacements for his "Eberron: Shadows and Whispers" campaign. (trying to give the new visitors something to do)
Through the ages, many would wonder "Does art imitate life or does life imitate art?" I wonder "Does the art of discourse on the internet imitate the art of discourse in life or does the art of discourse in life imitate the art of discourse on the internet?"
