On the behest of an Eladrin nobleman, the six of you are waiting in the forest outside Strangemeet, you have all been given a special pin, (except for Zeren and Cecil who don't need it) which allows you access to the woods. The only thing you know about the job is that if you can pull it off you'll be famous, and also rich. Though a few of you have been offered other things, specifically, Zeren is to gain a new ally among the Eladrin nobility, and Cecil, has been offered a chance to control his flame. (The rest of you can have similar offers made just pm me or post in the OOC thread. Glitstone is not at the meeting(sorry) Although the five of you have arrived the nobleman seems nowhere to be found. Although in the distance you can hear the sounds of someone running through the woods, and a few seconds later, an elf, or what looks like an elf if they were bright green, appears. "I sense it, I sense it! The food you have it!" he exclaims over joyed when he sees you all standing in the grove. the elf

Korgul sits atop his rhinocerous mount, and stares down at the elf, his fist tightened on the haft of his spear, as he readied for battle his aura of menace palapable to those close to him.
"What food do we have?" he growls, his voice deep in his throat.

Zeren gives Korgul a sidelong glance and returns the man's smile. " Good morning, sir. I'd be happy to help you, if I knew how. I am Zeren Brightstar, the fourth of that name." He pauses for the stranger to introduce himself. Whatever set off the cavalier, it surely was not a lone man approaching a group of five powerful adventurers. Of course, appearances are not to be trusted. Zeren's ears prick as he searches the forest for anything out of place.ooc - Perception check: 3(1d20) +18 = 21 Insight Check - 16(1d20) +11 = 27

Cecil, every possible chance he gets, summons his fire lizard familiar and then uses the Familiar Mount ritual to enlarge the thing so he could ride it. So the little gnome is riding a giant lizard that is on fire.
He's also not particularly observant... Perception: 6(1d20) +6 = 12 Cecil hardly notices the visitor at first, instead focusing on the ridges on the back of his mount's neck. When the others near him respond, he snaps out of it. "What? Who? Oh... Sorry, um... Sir? Can we help you with something?"

ooc - since we are curently mapless, I'm not sure how this applies, but Zeren's Group Awareness grants +1 Perception to allies within 10 sq.
