I did indeed... and the dice punished me for it until the end of the fight, when it no longer mattered. LOL

Francis is ready for action, but can't seem to get past the stunned Lars and Alauniira...

Quick question Hocus.
How stupid are the common infected? Would they, for example, run into an auto-damaging zone because it is the shortest path to a party member?
You can respond as our characters are not sure, so as not to give it away, but if you are happy to answer the question, I would be interested.

Common infected are nigh brainless. If they think the shortest path to a survivor is running off the edge of a cliff, then they'll do it. They'll run through fire, into deep water...pretty much anything it takes to get to you in the most direct path possible. Short answer? Yes, they would run headlong into an auto-damage zone if they think they can get to you quicker that way.
Special infected, however, are a bit more foreward-thinking...

Hocus, apologies in advance but it looks like I made a faux par. I should have been targeting E8, not F8 (I can't reach F8 from D9 ), could you please change this on the map when you can, thanks.

Ok, now I am getting really confused. Firstly, I thought the spitter provoked an OA by moving away from the cleric (i.e. the cleric gets the free attack), so I don't know why Huggy has provoked an OA.
Secondly, attacks aren't against charisma, they are usually against Will/Ref/Fort/AC, unless I'm missing something here.
Lastly, why didn't the spitter attack if it provoked an OA, it only used a move action, so it had a standard left to use its range attack.

Huggy provoked an OA from the common infected he ran past. It was against AC... Lemme see about that, may have made a typo.
EDIT: Ah, now I see. Yes, cleric still needs to make an OA against the Spitter, but my post should be correct. Not sure what the bard attack vs. Charisma thing is all about.

I think it is becoming clearer now. The bard attack is helping you hit the Spitter. Your attack missed, but badguy interrupted the miss and lowered the Spitter's defence by 4, allowing you to hit with your attack.

To all players: I will be out of town until Sunday afternoon. My posting may be very sparse until then.

Sorry. I was being rushed by parents but the attack is towards reflex
-Quotes from The Rebellion of the Four players- alright, first round and our leader crited on our defender. Go team. Those were, in order, my facial expressions after reading Talis's move.-Dark9174 after A slick move by the enemy swordmage (I apologize ahead of time, guys. I hit the only PC I was almost certain I'd miss. I shall join Grunn in the "I've critted on my teammate" corner of shame, now.)- TheDracon
