Treasure hunting? Explorers? Historical finders? Whatever the personal motivation we are looking for the lost city of Atlantis.

Still here too, though I really shouldn't be since I have two papers due tomorrow and I've only researched one of them. . I don't know my teacher's late policy so here's hoping he's a sympathetic guy...
I've sorta dropped the main storyline all together so now it's essentially make you own ideas of why you are here.
With the new light you can see further into the tunnel. Ahead of you, where the tunnel curves the light appears to shine brighter. There are rustling noises in the dirt mound next to you, and a couple of the flightless birds you saw eariler poke their heads out. A few others scatter outside through the new hole in the vines which is already partially covered by more of the drooping plants.
Are you walking in slow-motion so you still look awesome?

Vaas smiles at the posed question, easing his stride to bring him up even with Gen so he might converse more easily, "Why am I here? I came because I follow the winds and go where ever my feet choose to take me," he chuckles, "And quite often my feet choose to take me toward adventure," the bard grins and at the same time draws his rapier at the sound of something stirring in a dirt mound. Seeing it is only birds Vaas continues as if nothing had happened, absently swinging his sword as he would a cane, "More specificly, I heard a tale of an island where a lost city could be found, and I believe this is it. You see that is the stuff of legend. Grand adventure and mystery to be had," the half-elf seems quite excited and quickens his pace a bit down the tunnel.

Gen followed down the tunnel intrigued by these creatures. Gen decided that they didn't know why they were out here but for a vague mention of a city. Could the unknown really hold such excitment for a person? The only time Gen had seen such excitement, it had been quantifiable, a gift, a promotion, a successful test. It was strange to see such excitement over a relative void.
Then again if Gen had the opurtunity to sense the Void directly Gen would show simular excitment. Derailing down a different track of thought.
"So... you're clouded, but in that vapor of nothing the fire in your body warms, the water quivers, and shines through your eyes." Gen repeated. "I am not sure I have a sense for this, I remain in vapor but with no warmth, no shine." Gen continues knitting Gen's brows together.
"I shall following the earth through the cloud until the mist clears if your air would not suffer."

Sun Setting was not surprised at Vass following the random wind. She was thinking about her own reasons for coming here as she spoke the magic word and conjured a light to guide them in the tunnel. But between the strange speech patterns of the new one called Gen, and her worries that they were about to find trouble, her response was short.
"I heard that there was some long-lost elven secret to be found here." She was about to go on with the explanation, but her nerves tingled too much and she grew quiet again as they proceeded.

The tunnel does not go very far, and leads in a perfectly straight line. The reason for the rising light it soon made clear. The further you proceed, the less dirt there is on the walls and soon you are able to see clear signs of worked stone overlayed with tile squares. Where the dirt does not cover the tiles they reflect the light of your spell. Further ahead you can see where the tunnel stops, openning into a brighter room on the other side.
anything you guys want to do before continuing? Default marching order? I don't think that's been updated since Gen arrived.

Don't really have a in character post at this moment, but Gen would hang back behind the others. If for nothing else to study them better. Gen isn't oblivious though and is also back ther ein case of danger.

Vaas walks near the front of the small group, his adventurous spirit pulling him deeper into the tunnel ahead of the others. His rapier remains in his hand just in case something besides the usual island wildlife inhabits the tunnel. When he reaches the end of the tunnel the half-elf bard pauses, deciding it would be better to err on the side of caution. Slipping his pack off he rummages through it for a moment and produces his small steel mirror. Moving to the edge of the opening he angles the mirror so he can see around the corners and examine the room beyond without actualy entering it.

Sun Setting shifts from side to side, stretching a little to loosen her muscles. She steps up behind Vaas into the second spot, waiting as he peeks around the cormer with his mirror. Good idea, she thinks.

Varkas silently nods in approval at his compainion's carefullness in advancing. He keeps his positon, shifting his weight so his steeps will be quieter and flexing his hands eager for another to put his fists to work.
