@azathot...i believe +2 sword just doesn't give you a +2 attack but +2 damage as well....i believe ...as for your second question, only if it states that you must discard it after use and as for "play this card immediately" instead of your next turn...

In this game, the monsters "suprise" the hero every time. Even the rouge. I'm making house rule that says if you uncover a new tile and place a monster, you get to attack that monster. You surprise it....
