- I have quite a bit of disposable income
- I buy Wizards D&D products
- I subscribe to DDI
- I enjoy exposing others to the game that I have enjoyed for years (mostly prior to Hasbro)
- I have 2 young adult sons that play and have now introduced their friends to the game
- I am introducing my youngest son to parts of the game (he's only 8 so... books, minis, and character building I have a solo planned for him but a group session may be a ways off yet).
... but appears to be doing everything they can to alienate. Walled gardens don't engender devotion - give us what we want & we feel we need - we are Gamers and we will support "our" game. (note the symbiotic relationship) The issue is that we want to feel that we are being supported as well. (and that the relationship hasn't become parasitic)
Here's a wish list that I have hear so often it's rediculious that it hasn't been provided yet:
Here's a wish list that I have hear so often it's rediculious that it hasn't been provided yet:
- Online/Offline character builder/viewer (yes I can go to 3rd parties but ... why not you? I actually like the "cloud" option of the CB for access purposes. Heck either make or purchase an app like i4e (cordax.net/i4e/) for the viewer side or don't and just admit your purely a data company and release an API to access your data files for others to build the apps around.
- Not selling enough subscriptions/books/data just unlock the data that we purchase (this could be managed online)
- Digital books - let us purchase these legally!!! Errata could then be recompiled in the book (see Piazo for a how-to)
- Digital Magazines
- Digital Adventures (see a theme here)
