Penk is your ordinary, fun-loving pixie, looking to enjoy life and protect his Court (Summer unless that's a conflict) as the dutiful vassal he is. Unfortunately something happened, and he is now cut off.
Penk has bright pink skin and purple hair. His buttlerfly wings are a brilliant monach-wing orange. With his high-pitched voice, many mistake him for a female--a sure way to make him mad. But after making someone wake up on a bed of briar thorns for a night, he quickly forgets.

"For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?" - William Shakespeare
And what dreams come if one is a dream? Such is a question Ikelos would have never thought of, if knowing what her life would become as. Though every story has its beginning and her's is no different.
Years ago, Ikelos was once a normal mortal girl know by the name of Velvet. She was the daughter of a unusual union. Her father was a small but well off Vrylokian noble and her mother was a wild and free Hengeyokai. Despite this unusual paring, there was a true love that crossed the racial boundaries, despite the protest on both sides of the family. From them she was born as the eldest of 3 children. Most of her early childhood was spent normally as anyone would for one of her families station. Her parents sought to provide the best education money could buy. Though her father always had a fear something would happen to his children, especially the daughters so he ensured they received a rigorous education in the art of combat for self defense. To this, Velvet's life was always on some type of schedule for lessons or martial practices. At times she would sneak off and engage in more creative pursuits such as playing music, painting or writing poetry.
Though even as a child and well into her teen years, she always had the most uncanny dreams. Most of were of strange locations and creatures, but always one constant individual appeared. That was a tall, thin man with bone-white skin, black hair, and two distant stars looking out from the shadows where his eyes should be. Originally she was frighten but soon would "feel" this person meant no harm but always watched and observed with a curiosity of his own. This was the norm for her, but nothing ever truly last forever.
On her 14th year, Velvets homeland was attacked. Not by orcs, goblins, but by elves. Velvets home was located on the outskirts of the vast Jhaamdath Empire. On that day, she was caught in the land's destruction by a massive title wave, and died. Though upon her death an intervention occurred by a old familiar face. In that instance, appearing before her was the same tall man with star eyes that was always in her dreams. This individual introduced himself simply as the Dream King. The Dream King explained that he has watched Velvet for quite sometime time due to her unique talent. In this, he explained that mortals as they dream enter the realm of dreams and nightmares but are not fully aware they have entered this place. Some mortals though do have a strong mind that does allow them to be fully aware and enter "The Dreaming". Such individuals catch his attention as the Dream King must ensure if she was attempting to cause harm or good. From his observations, he deemed her not a threat an allowed Velvet to continue entering his realm as she had done. For this, he appeared to her with an offer to come and live in The Dreaming. Seeing this was a better option than the unknown afterlife, she accepted only on the condition that her family would be allowed to come as well. The Dream King accepted the caveat but informed her they would not exist as they once had but only as shapes or other manifestations since they did not have a strong mind as she did. Velvet did not care so long as they were with her and accepted.
In The Dreaming, Velvet found her new life hard to adjust to but made every effort to do so. In time, she proved to be a valid individual to The Dream King and thus was made a chief servant. The duties Velvet inherited included leadership of the Oneiroi, the warriors of the Dream King and guardians of The Dreaming, as well as a ruling duties over an area of The Dreaming called the Forest of Dreams, where various creatures, beast and monsters reside that were to be used for nightmares and dreams. As ruler of this area, Velvet also had the task to see that all dreams were kept in check and sent to the correct dream, should the image of an animal or creature be of need. To this, The Dream King also gave her an new name for the office. Hence forth she was known as Ikelos.
Eons would pass and Ikelos performed her duties as needed. Though one day grave news had spread around The Dreaming as rumors of the Dream King's capture spread like wildfire. The Dream King was no where to be found and no only she but the other high ranking individuals in the Oneiroi feared for the worst. With their master gone, many nightmares and dreams began to rebel and act on their own. Several managed to escape The Dreaming and began to wreck havoc on the mortal realms. In that, Ikelos and the other leading Oneiroi agreed a search had to be done to find their missing master. It was decided then they would enter the mortal realms looking for any clues to the Dream King's whereabouts. Though she had entered the mortal realms on many of occasion, Ikelos still feared them for it meant she would be vulnerable and able to die. And she above else knows, there is more than one way to kill a dream...
Took some inspiration from Neil Gaiman's The Sandman and old D&D info I found. On Ikelos info on the mythical being can be viewed here. Though, Ikelos should be taken more of as a name given for one who assumed the office, in the same sense how Caesar was used for many Roman rulers.
