PHB 1 was the right choice. It contains the rules + some classes/races/etc. Whereas the second and third PHBs have more class/race/feat/etc choices, but do not contain the core rules. With it, you'll have what you need to get a character made. As for what class to play, just pick whichever you want to play. The current list of applicants covers every major party role already, so there isn't a hole to fill, so to speak.

The need for a "Well Rounded Party" is a myth.
(As I've said before) I've been running a game with all strikers. Aside from minion battles, they rip everything to pieces and have the skills covered.

Well, OK, Then, I'm expressing interest at this late point of this recruiting process. I read it again and saw your comment that you hold reservation against hydrid class characters. Too bad because I love the hybrid class because the class symbolized the idea of freedom for creativity and from a person with a strong church upbringing like myself playing D&D hybrid is best thing that happen to the game.
Well, I guess I dont have a character build available to introduce for this game after all. All my non-hybrid characters are reserved for certain type of settings. So EDTA Thank you anyway. V.

Okay, time for submissions has passed. It is looking like the final party will be as such: Margrave (LinYurenya), Revenant Infernal Warlock, Striker Ronin of the Lost Clan (KayneRahl), Dwarf Battlemind, Defender Eelen Silverfoot (WhisperMagellan), Eladrin Tempest Fighter, Defender Loric Hammerfell (NickData), Human Cleric, Leader Per'dra Yllari (Shakhmaty), Human Bard, Leader thiotes and Pashalik_Mons, I will keep you two in mind if you like if something doesn't work out and I need a replacement. Some characters still need to pick themes, but it is more for your benefit as you aren't required to take one if you don't want to. The Out of Character Thread is here. Post a final character sheet there so I have them all in a easy to find place after this thread gets archived.
