I am Hekahala, and I just need more training, Hekahala says a bit miffed. She picks up a stone and warms it in her breath while still holding it.

Are you sure this will work?

She puts the stone against the skin of her arm, looking sceptically, feeling nothing. Right, i still have the warding going.
She huddles herself in anticipation of the cold as she lowers her heartfire, then yelps and lets go of the stone, breathing on her slightly singed fingers.

Idiot, she mutters to herself, then sits back down to wait for the stone to cool off a bit.

"Come now, ladies, no bickering!" exclaimes Antaladus Fox, the band's unexpected fifth member. He gestures at Magtoo. "What will Mr. Big and Silent here think? Now, how about a nice camp-fire sing-along? I have my lute here somewhere..."

The driver settles down on top of the wagon to get some rest. "Shut up, Fox," he growls. "I'm going to sleep, and so should you." He turns to the rest of you. "You folk know the drill - make sure someone takes watch and catch some shut-eye. We've got one more day in this wilderness and I don't fancy being stuck by kobolds right afore I get 'ome."

Fox grumbles to himself as he wraps his cloak around himself. "Huh. The sooner I'm shut of Grumpy over there, the better. Some people just don't appreciate art" he mutters.

We aren't bickering, are we?

She turns to Andromeda questioningly, but then shuts down at one more grumble from the driver.

Well, I will take ze first watch then.

Andromeda turns to Hekala and offers a shrung. In a voice laden with the song of the woods, she speaks. "I did not know that we were bickering. I shall take the second watch."
"It's dangerous to go alone, Jerk-wads!" (Borderlands 2)

“All right, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade! Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I'm the man whose gonna burn your house down - with the lemons!” (Portal 2)

Looking up from the pages of a book "I shall take the last watch, I prefer a good solid sleep for the journey ahead tomorrow, and I may get a little light reading in" Morlass Cordanno says with a smile.

"Besides it's getting a little too noisy to do much thinking at the moment, and when I read I like to think"   as the book thuds closed.

Magtoo drops the shoulder bag slung across his shoulder. Reaching into the bear-hide creation, the large grey-hued man pulls out a stick of mahogany incense. He dips the tip into the hearth while keeping his gaze always on the incense stick and never on his companion's. He does not offer explanation, instead circling the camp site chanting words hardly audible unless you listened closely and even then not intelligible unless you knew the Orcish tongue.

"Mag-Gronar, Mag-Seepra, Mag-Badgon, Mag-Erai, Mag-Broff; farn dan ciin."

Still not used to Magtoo's strange tendancies, the driver frowns at him before spitting again over the side of the wagon, but doesn't say anything.

As Magtoo chants, Hekahala prepares for her watch, and the rest of the band settle down to sleep...

Hekahala picks up the stone again after a while, fumbling to put it in the right place. True to Andromedas words, it reduces the itching a little. After a while she puts it down, getting her heartfire up again against the cold, and walks a small patrol around the camp, staring at their surroundings, afraid that the fire and the wind are too loud to hear anything.

Hekahala's watch draws to a close uneventfully, and she realises it's about time to wake Andromeda.

Hekahala Show

You keep thinking you hear noises, but then you're sure it's just the trees moving in the wind or perhaps a small animal in the undergrowth; your keen eyesight picks out nothing.

She squats down beside Andromeda, shortly debating about screaming her awake since most people she met were rather picky about who touched them, but then dismisses it as simply unpractical.

Andromeda, it iz time, she whispers, finally deciding on tugging at Andromedas cover as a compromise.
