"Where did he come from? Did anyone see?" asked Moriandus, as Reafus crows excitedly.

"Ark! Fire, fire, all on fire!" he shrieks unhelpfully.

The Azurin turns to Luara. "Luara, you speak Goblin. What was he saying?"

Luara, thoroughly flustered, stutters out a response. "He said something of killing them all, and of slavery..."
"It's dangerous to go alone, Jerk-wads!" (Borderlands 2)

“All right, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade! Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I'm the man whose gonna burn your house down - with the lemons!” (Portal 2)

"Well there doesn't seem to be a great deal to tell. 6 days ago I woke up to Joen banging on my door, yelling. I hurried to open it, and saw the church was aflame. Joen ran for more help, and I tried my best to douse the fire, but it was too little too late." Father Aeron lowers his head. "The next day, Par knocked on my door and gave me the news about my son; he was found... Strangled... By the lakeside. Whoever did it made no effort to hide their crime." *knock*knock*knock* "Excuse me a moment." The holy father stands and answers the door. "Good morning Brecha. How are you?"

A gaunt and sickly looking woman stands at the door. She casts a curious eye inside at the pair of you before turning back to the priest."Still ill, father; as is Joen."

"I'm sorry to hear that. Are you here to request a blessing?"

"Yes father. I hope I'm not - Er... Interrupting anything."

"These two are here to help. I was just filling them in on some details."

The ragged woman again peers over at you, but says nothing.

"I can be over to the farmhouse shortly."

"Thank you father."
She gives a half curtsey to Father Aerron and steals another cautious glimpse at the two of you before hobbling away.

As the three of you stand around the blackened mess that was a goblin, a clerk from inside the town center curiously peeks outside. Townsfolk are beginning to gather around the scene of the incident, but none step forth to say anything about it.
Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle, the cow jumped over the moon.
The little dog laughed to see such sport,
And the Dish ran away with the Spoon.
He ran from conviction, and fed his addiction as the Dish heated the Spoon...
The Spoon begged to go, but the Dish shouted : "NO!!"
"The heroin will be ready soon!"

"Any time doing the right thing is funny as hell, it's probably Chaotic Good."

"Are there lots of goblins around here?" Moriandus asks the villagers, "Is this a regular occurance?" Seeing a more official-looking face peering from the town hall, he turns towards it. "Excuse me. Do you know anything about this?"

"That is terrible Father, I am sorry" Deglo replies once Father Aerron tells of his son's death. When Brecha comes and goes Deglo ignores the fact that she was suspicious of himself and Zar. He does hope that nobody like her saw Luara near the lake this morning, this town seems like the type that could jump to conclusions rather quickly. Seeing as the murder took place near the lake and it happened so recently... He can imagine the townsfolk with pitchforks and torches already. He'll have to let Luara know to be careful when she is at the lake when he sees her again.

Unfortunately the Father knew nothing of how the church was lit aflame. "I am sorry for asking such a question at this time Father but..." Deglo pauses "Have you heard of other churches or sanctuaries burning down in the surrounding area? It is a strange question I know but it may be important in finding out how your church met it's unfortunate fate."

Deglo also asks the Father about his son. "Do you or your son have anybody that might want to hurt either of you? Was an investigation started to find your son's murderer? I know it is hard Father" Deglo places his hand on Father Aerron's shoulder in comfort "but anything you can tell us could help us find your son's killer and let him face justice for what he has done."

A woman walked in, talked to Father Aerron, all the while giving Deglo and Zar a dirty look whenever she glanced at them, and then left the building.

"I am sorry for asking such a question at this time Father but..."
Deglo pauses "Have you heard of other churches or sanctuaries burning down in the surrounding area? It is a strange question I know but it may be important in finding out how your church met it's unfortunate fate."

Deglo speaks again, "Do you or your son have anybody that might want to hurt either of you? Was an investigation started to find your son's murderer? I know it is hard Father" Deglo places his hand on Father Aerron's shoulder in what looks like a gesture of comfort "but anything you can tell us could help us find your son's killer and let him face justice for what he has done."

"That is horrible father but please answer this man's questions. He only has good intentions. This man is just and true, I have never met someone like him. Has anybody been acting out of the ordinary lately near the beginning of all this? Has anybody left recently?"
Zar asked Father Aerron sincerely, trying not to seem like they were bombarding him with questions.

"There has been an investigation, yes. Par has been questioning anyone who was near at the time. So far, most everyone has been casting their suspicions toward a nomad who came through several days before." Father Aerron rubs his temples wearily. "I do not know what to think of it." He sighs again and continues. "As to whether other churches have been razed, I do not know. We are a rather isolated town, and I've not received any letters regarding the matter. I fear this was a personal attack, although why, I do not know. I have lived a rather peaceful life, and I do not believe I have earned the enmities of any man."

The man glances over at the body with a look of annoyance. "Another goblin attack? Pesky savages... Yes, they do raid frequently, although never alone. Keep sharp. I'd best go fetch Par." He pops back into the building to deposit his papers and quill, before returning out the doorway, cautiously stepping past you.

Moriandus quites Reafus, who is still cawing loudly, and turns to the others. "Frequent goblin raids? This one's covered with blood... but whose?"

Luara looks at Moriandus. "It's entirely possible that he had masters. He killed them and escaped."

"Where can we find Par, Father?" Deglo asks. "I would like to speak with him about the investigation and hopefully work with him, if he will allow us. As a fellow holy man I cannot simply stand by while a place of worship was razed and a Fathers' son murdered."

"If you can tell us anything about the nomad who came through, especially his appearance, that would be most helpful as well."

After Deglo finishes his questions and gets some kind of answer he stands and walks toward the door. "Please get some rest Father Aerron. It will do your son no good to go mad with insomnia. Also I know you are a holy man and it will be hard to turn people away at your door but if you see somebody you do not know outside your door do not let them in! If the attack was personal as you believe it might be you must be overly cautious now. If you can, send a signal of some kind that Par or we might see and we will come to your aid. We will not fail you, we will find your son's killer, right Zar?" Deglo is inordinately moved by the poor Father's plight, perhaps because he is a holy man or perhaps the Father gives Deglo a perspective of what his life might have been like had Deglo's wife lived long enough to have a child.

After Zar answers Deglo sighs himself, lost in a moment of memories, and exits Father Aerron's house.
