I've only been playing D&D for about the past 3 years (though to be fair, I'm only 21 years old), and I've played exclusively using the 3.5 system. While I've mostly been a player in other people's campaigns, I've DMed 3 of my own. So all in all, I'm confident in my knowledge of 3.5, while only knowing bits and pieces about the other editions.

As far as character optimization goes... it can certainly be fun to optimize. To be honest though, I find it disrespectful to your DM and fellow players to play a character that's blatantly and needlessly game-breaking.

With regard to roleplay, I like to think I make a good devout knight-in-shining-armor, or witty street savvy swashbuckler. Either way, I've always been attracted to the role of party face.

As for me, I'm a pretty nice guy - I get along well with just about everyone and I'm pretty flexible!

It looks like a perfect balance to me. I'm excited to get this underway. I'm excited for Spring Break too, but you all probably care less about that than I do. (:

I've been playing D&D for at least two years now. I'm fifteen. I'm not too familiar with 3.5 as I have been in the 4th Editon zone with my friends as we're new and decided for the most recent version for the group. I have been a player and a DM. I have been a player at this D&D thing that a library had nearby my place. It was a lot of fun. I like being  creative with what my character does outside of combat. Talking to people and asking interesting questions or doing random stuff to the environment. I wont go over the top though that it doesn't suit my person. But I love to have fun while playing D&D.
I am hosting a campaign right now with my friends that I created by myself. I created the maps, the plot, etc. They really like it so far. But I am not really familiar about 3.5 so please give me some guidance if I go astray. I am open for guidance as I don't want to mess this game up. So please correct me if need be. thx.

I don't really care about character optimization. I just like to create a fun character who most people like and just have fun playing D&D. And one that wont die in the first few rounds of combat. I just like to be there for the group and help it in the way I can, not dominate the group and I'm the only one attacking the monsters because everyone else is on the sidelines. That aint me.

I think is very well balanced. A couple of melee, some magic users and a healer. Very good setup guys.

I am so excited for this thing to start. When we do start how will the maps of the locations work? Like do you have some maps set up and we base where are characters are on the map by coordinates or is there another way we're going to do it? Also how will combat work on here? I fsomeone could give me the answers to those questions that would be much appreciated. thx.
