Ever consider to Readied An Action to attack anything that move??! (And have Buttercup think "That yicky stuff does make the way down much longer, hmmm"?!!)

Yes another body on the wall would allow me to do what the surprise round by the spiders was design to do; that is distribute among 5 bodies all spiders' surprise round attacks instead of just targeting 4 or just targeting 2 if I allowed you guys to started it as you planned to earlier.

In modern common language terminology: the wall is an incline of an angle consistent but roundly jagged of a straight line from 11 o'clock to 5 o'oclock on a clock's face (non-digit of'course) and the PCs are climbing down on this steep incline

Well yes, on the wall you would be climbing and yes flying next to those first four columns of squares (00-03) is difficult terrain for flyers (all sizes). and yes falling means falling after momentum has started which why that last square a creature is over (or next to since tis an incline) is where the get-a-saving-grip square is located.

If I must address the point of the dried up webs function for tiny creatures then I would probably should treat the webs for tiny creatures as a hazard trap (like a fly in a web then there's the tangle factors) and well before I'll allowed a tiny size creature to use the dried up webs like a rope so let's make its easy to understand: Tiny creatures will fall like if he or she is the same as any other creature (...and please don't make this more work for me by asking the obvious because I don't have an autocad software program; just a regular 12 key calculator.)
Small creatures weight too much to be effect by dried webs.

The (cave) opening's and inside wall's terrain by definition is obscured terrain with a steep incline and favors tremorsense so unless your PC has a natural climb speed with senses that doesn't rely on line of sight your PC is granting CA on that wall.

(What you failed to see to do and I couldn't tell you was your PC and one other could have flew down up to speed than make a stealth check to become hidden.
If you roll successfully vs the spider's DC Perception then I would have asked for DC Bluff or DC Insight vs the Spider's DC Insight to avoid been targeted
{or notice.} when the spiders came out of their holes for the surprise round attacks.)

I know I really shouldn't be offering tactics ideas but with Digiconda absence I guess I should sneak in a word or two.

Hey, work with tried and reliable tactics only until all is back in order or until the end of this encounter:


Astromath:
Play Dream like a striker working behind Jade and I will play Namley with Dream's interference style for time being which can be done after Buttercup unshriink her frog mount and Gigabufo when they get to the bottom of the wall.

TheHumanHydra:
Eloyse can cover Namley antics for this.

Calamity:
Buttercup can cover Eloyse while remaining elusive supporting Jade and compensating for Dream's bloodied condition.

Also, don't worry!! No matter what the results of Buttercup's attempt to stop the minion's bite on Dream with the readied action (Since the readied action you offered couldn't happened anyway because of ranged disadvantage in the obscured penalties) his Skald's aura should be enough to bring Dream thru this. 

@Everybody:
Overall  I can't see four attack misses in the row to allowed another vulnerable-making bite on Dream and this strategy should keep as well as bring forth some progress for this encounter.

Ok, I must confess I am having rather a lot of difficulty following what's going on. I apologize. Since Dream's life seems to be hanging in the balance, I want to talk about my turn here before posting it to make sure I am doing everything I need to do. VoyRager has sent me a message saying I must do everything in my power to kill Spiderling 1 this turn. Also, according to the IC thread I must make ready to grab Dream to keep her from falling when she falls unconscious on her turn. So, how does this look:

Start of turn: Take 5 ongoing poison damage.
Standard action: Twin Strike vs. Spiderling 1 (taking opportunity attacks from S2 and possibly S1)
If that fails, spend an action point:
Standard action: Twin Strike vs. Spiderling 1 (taking opportunity attacks from S2 and possibly S1)
Uh ... and that's as far as I've gotten. I can't both kill the Spiderling and ready an action - would shifting to F3 be enough to stop Dream's fall? If so, what if I teleported to F5 instead (to avoid taking the opportunity attacks)? If so, would I still be able to shoot into the Spiderling's hole (I mean, by the map I could, but would I be at an appropriate angle?)

Will this do.

She's a Leader-type Controller and a functional healer. Her class is a hybrid Summer Druid/Serene Runepriest which grants her staff, spear and polearms 1d12 damage expressions and she has proficiency in military one-handed and two handed light blades and military heavy blades.

She also brings two healing feature powers with Healing Spirit and Rune of Mending as well as the versatile uses of her Level 1 at-will power Rune of Exchange which would beneficial to teamplay. Her level 1 at-will wild shape power Grasping Claw is also a basic melee attack.

Sorry, I didn't realize I was supposed to roll Perception every turn; I thought that was just for the surprise round. That free action -> passive Perception 19 will be fine.

I notice looking at the terrain rules that I was supposed to apply a -2 penalty due to concealment to my attack rolls above; that means neither hits and I do no damage!

This is the problem:
Layasa haven't contacted me on what he/she doing. (Probably under RL pressures again but if he or she doesn't reply to the next pm/notice I send; when he/she do return I will find something for him or her then.)

I was expecting Digiconda1 return at the start of this month but I haven't recieved any news of this. (I always thought the chief was no quitter and definite no bailer so this is surprising!!)

This means there are four players I must make comfortable doing all this,  so..,
I'm pming both of them again and if none reply again then will move on from protecting both their places in this game.

But If...

Only one replied than I will sign on a new player immediately that I have waiting to get in a game and we can continue.
 
But If...
Both doesn't return to the game than I will offer you four an option that is as alternative to waiting until sixth player to be found.

I can continue our playing timetable without delay...
by having you four join another two (one of this two is an alternative of both matters under subject below) to start up a new campaign that is already set up and start playing immediately but this option will end this campaign as is presently.
 
But If...
This is preferred by only your consensus agreement; then which campaign it will be also will be decided doing this discussion:

So, while we waiting the 48 hours for the missing players decisive replies (or no reply) this is discussion for our alternative plan for any unforseen scenarios of having both which translates as other than just one missing player officially!

Decide on one of the three scenarios:

Wait for a sixth player and continue as is.

OR...

Wait for a sixth player and redo this entire campaign. (Since half of the original players are now been replaced.)

OR...

Immediately without delay move on by starting a different campaign (A Level 8 Campaign with unlimited retraining played at The Players' Vault.) with the same characters using the same magic items and boons they have in this game plus additional bonuses that translates to a total of up to 5 magic items total and a to-start gps equaling appropriate starting gps for a level 8 PC unspent.

OR...

Immediately without delay move on by starting a different campaign (An epic level campaign with retarining as governed by the general DnD rules played here at the PbP Haven) under the same terms as mention above for the Level 8 campaign with an option to trade all magic items your PC has while foregoing the addition magic items bonuses while keeping the boon in order to recieve an complete item-set instead.

WELL OF'COURSE THIS DISCUSSION IS PRIMARILY MEANT AS SOMETHING TO DO FOR THE TIME BEING WHILE WE WAITING TO HEAR NEWS ABOUT THE MISSING PLAYERS!!

My preference would be to continue this or start another low level adventure. Higher level play does not appeal to me ATM. However, if the majority of the group prefers to transition into a higher level adventure, that is fine. I would probably respectfully decline for the time being and focus on my other current games.
