====== Created Using Wizards of the Coast D&DI Character Builder ====== Namley Batrachos, level 2 Halfling, Druid Build: Guardian Druid Primal Aspect: Primal Guardian Birth - Among Another Race: Among Another Race (Goblin)
FINAL ABILITY SCORES Str 10, Con 14, Dex 13, Int 10, Wis 18, Cha 10.
STARTING ABILITY SCORES Str 10, Con 14, Dex 11, Int 10, Wis 18, Cha 8.
Birth Namley Batrachos, the Halfling Druid of the Toad, was a very adventurous boy in his youth. He was abandoned as a boy, and doesn’t remember his parents. He does, however, remember his childhood. He remembers being raised by Bumu, the goblin mistress, and her manservant Ringoo. They lived in a cave outside of a human town, and would trade with the humans periodically to stay alive. He was taught how to hunt, and Bumu taught him how to fight and use a staff.
Learning Namley often traveled into the human city nearby with Ringoo and Bumu. He would find squires and challenge them to duels using his staff. He’d sneak around and play with toads and frogs hidden in the sewers. He was mostly a lonely boy. Many of the boys and girls that lived in the town didn’t talk to him because he lived with the goblins, who acted as his only parents. He found his way around, and he constantly got into mischief.
Beginning the Legacy of the Forgotten Boy Namley and Bumu would hunt rabbits in the wilderness, and she taught him all he knows. He’s gained exceptional skill in tracking and hiding in the forests. He also learned Bumu’s druidic techniques. Bumu was a Druid of the Toad, as Namley would soon learn, and she would teach him. They started with basic spells. He learned how to throw enchanted magical abilities, and slow down any opponents. As he and Bumu trained, he learned more and more about the natural cycle of life, the goddess Avandra, and many of Bumu’s secrets.
Gigabufo One day, Bumu and Namley sat down together to meditate before practice. A toad jumped onto Namley’s head as they were sitting together. He ignored any disturbance, as always, and sat there. When Bumu and him had cleared their minds, the toad was still there. Bumu and Namley trained, as always, yet the toad stayed perched atop Namley’s head. After a long time, Bumu told Namley to grab the toad. He did so. She told Namley that the toad is a sacred animal, and as such, he should learn to summon a toad as she could. She explained that this giant toad had chosen Namley as his master. Namley named the toad Gigabufo, learned to communicate with it, and it became his best friend. Gigabufo and him always did things together, and they grew stronger together.Namley learned to summon Gigabufo to him at will, and they formed a strong connection as master and companion.
The Baker One day, Namley and Ringoo had gone into town alone to fetch some medicine for Bumu. She had found a small bird with a broken wing, and wanted to help it get better. They were looking around, and Ringoo and Namley found the shop they were looking for. Ringoo told Namley to go buy a loaf of bread for them and the bird, and Namley ran off clutching the whole gold piece in his hand. He’d never had a gold piece, and was curious as to if the bread would cost the whole piece. He shoved it in his pocket and ran towards the lovely smell of bread. He had reached the baker’s, but was debating just stealing the bread instead of buying it. It would be simple enough for Namley. He was, after all, a halfling boy. He went around the back and snuck into the baker’s, shutting the door softly behind him. He was almost out with two whole loafs of bread, when the baker saw him. Namley ran for his life, as fast as his little haflling legs could carry him.
The Guard The baker shouted for the guards and soon enough, a guard was standing in front of Namley with his spear pointed at him. “STOP!” shouted the guard at the little halfling boy. Namley skidded to a halt, and was surrounded by guards. He was just a small boy, and he had nothing to defend himself with as he had left his staff at home and couldn’t summon Gigabufo today. He looked around quickly, and out of nowhere, a bolt pierced one of the guards helmet’s. Ringoo jumped down toward Namley, clenching a blade in his hands. Namley shut his eyes and he heard the guards hit the ground. He felt Ringoo grab him and jump out of the town towards their cave.
Running They got to the cave, told Bumu what happened, and were on the run. They ran for days, hiding from guards and patrols along the road. One day, they were walking along and they were ambushed by some bandits one night. They squared off against the bandits, and suddenly a volley of bolts came out of nowhere. Namley summoned Gigabufo, and he intercepted the bolts. Except for one. Bumu was on the ground bleeding, and Namley clutched her in his hands as Ringoo and Gigabufo dispatched the bandits. Bumu died later that night.
Departure Soon after the incident with the bandit’ and Bumu’s death, Ringoo went crazy. He was always mumbling about something, and how it was his fault that Bumu died. One day he wandered off into the forest alone, and never came back. Namley was alone with Gigabufo. They wandered around for a few weeks, until they came across a new town. He went straight to the inn, bought a room for the night, and decided to stay for a few days.
Starting the Adventure Soon after being seen by some adventurers in the inn, Namley had been asked to join. They saw him talking to his Toad and one of them saw him training one night at the back of the inn. Namley needed some excitement in his life, and decided to go. There happened to be a man in town that was having some problems with giant rats underneath his house. They decided to go and help him. Namley and his new companions fought the giant rats, found the mother of the litter, and slayed her. He took his rewards, and continued doing odd jobs.
Until during one adventure, his friends had been dispatched and killed, and he was the only one left. He was soon ambushed from behind by someone, and woke up in a very interesting place. Instructed to find a group of Clerics of Avandra, Namley set out.
Namley is an ill-behaved, young, halfling. He got into a lot of trouble as a kid, and still does.He doesn't know his exact age, because he was abandoned at a young age and many people believe that the reason he acts out is for attention. He can be extremely hyper and loves messing with people. In combat, he levels out and periodically summons his Giant Toad, also his best friend, Gigabufo. He can usually be found smoking on his pipe, drinking some of his favorite rum, or spending time running around with Gigabufo.

Jade never knew her parents. Given the place of her birth she is not sure she ever would want to know. She is a child of the underdark, born in the slums of a major drow city. She spent her childhood under the heals of pimps and pushers, traded from hand to hand for the servitude of others. As she grew older she grew more resilient. She fought, held her stance and took charge of her own life. She established her own ‘freedom’ from enslavement and gained her reputation for a murderous heart. There are those powers that appreciate such qualities. They took a liking to her and, upon her passing certain tests, they infused her body and soul with their power to bring death upon the deserving. Never accepting her destiny to be trapped in the drow city; she was able escape. Being the only of her group to make it to the surface she is lost in this world. But not lost to her purpose. If she found the house or the house found her is really up to debate; as is the discussion on who has a greater use for the other. She finds her path and that of the house to align, for now, so to remain in their employ has its uses to her.
...I'll play Solano and at the last moment I decided giving a second look... ...In the end I chose the equivalent Unarmored Agility (and a Shielding Blade for extra point!) since well, his appearance means something too! :P Spoiler:Show
